Yup, as the previous poster noted, this is a shack up a hill where the guy walks around uncovering the tables and such for you to take a look at. There isn't much for sale that you can fit in a suitcase to take home with you but the table tops are stunning. I wish someone would come in and help this place put together some more items for sale as it really is a great business. We drove up the hill, walked around and left in about 10 minutes.

“Bizarre place, for the brave only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2012

We found the location easily and saw the sign clearly, then traveled up the short bumpy driveway through some cool hanging vines. When we got to the end, there was a run-down house and workshop that looked uninhabited. We knew this had to be it (there were no turnoffs on the driveway and the sign said this way) but we almost left as it looked pretty scary and we didn't see any people. There was one man there and he lifted up some tarps to show us his wares. Everything was absolutely beautiful from cutting boards to handheld mirrors to bookends to tables to statues - however you would not have known anything was in there as it was covered up with dirty, messy things. The prices seemed very negotiable, but it was awkward. It's not exactly a shop. We did buy a beautiful mahogany cutting board and after we left I wished I had bought some other things - it was just so strange and uncomfortable. My advice is go with an open mind and look around at everything you are shown - it really is great work.

“What a funky place!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

Don't be scared away by appearances. They have some beautiful pieces of wood crafted from native woods as a very reasonable price. You'll need to ask to be shown around as the work shop is a mess!!!! My wife purchased a small cheese cutting board and would have gotten a picture frame if we could have figured out how to get it home.

“Very Worthwhile, but Hard to Find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

We heard about LEAP and set off looking for it. Took a few stops asking for directions before we found it, so don't be fooled - it is in a very remote location! Once you drive up the long, dirt road off the highway, you will see an open air workshop and a few other buildings. Its not what you expect if you're looking for a store/shopping area, but once you make your way around the workshop you will be glad you came. Lots of interesting woodwork in various stages of completion, and it will likely be one of the artists who shows you around. Plenty for sale from small wooden magnets to large tables. Definitely worth the trip!

“Amazing on St. Croix”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2010

Some of the best vacation tours I've ever had were last week on the island of St. Croix: Captain Llewellyn Charter trimaran trip to Buck Island - knowledgeable, relaxed, excellent host, went above and beyond in every way, Virgin Kayak Bio-Luminescence tour - amazing sparkling glowing water with an amazing sparkling host, Tan Tan Tours - jeep trip around the island and to tide pools over terrain you would swear was impassable with charming and fun guide/drivers.

In each case the experience was worth more than the cost. I could not believe how fantastic each of these unique adventures were, how well we were treated, how above and beyond each guide went. And I am not all that easy to please! All three were truly extraordinary.
