I played the course 4 time with a 7 am tee time finishing in less that 2.5 hours as no one really gets up that early to play. The course was suffering from some drought conditions, but nothing the course could really do about it. It was just starting to come back when I left on Friday. The greens mower was having problems with green scalping and I would call to make sure that is fixed. The greens were well watered and held very well. The layout is absolutely fabulous and certainly far better than St. Thomas' course. It is a pretty standard 18 hole course like you would find in Chicago, from where I hail. It is NOT the shoehorned, target golf, ridiculous holes like I have seen on some islands. I played from the black at 6800 yards. It is a great test and you won't be disappointed. Play a couple of times because you really have to learn about the wind and how it travels over the hills and affects your shots.
So, even with the drought and the green scalping, I still had a great time. (You can walk if you would like. Doable but will challenge you with some of the hills.
