Owner description: Located on St. Croix's north shore, the waters are not always gentle along this palm-tree-lined beach, but scuba diving and snorkeling are very popular here where less than 200 yards out is the drop-off called Cane Bay Wall.

“Beach, Burger, Diving, Snorkeling - AMAZING Spot on STX”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

This is THE ideal location on St Croix for a great day at the beach.

- one of the most clear clean beaches on St Croix is located here.
- eat @ Cane Bay is one of 3 local restaurants within walking distance. And Eat serves an INCREDIBLE burger, great craft cocktails (yes you read that correctly, a beach bar serving amazing drinks) live music weekly, yoga classes on weekend
- Cane Bay Dive shop is steps from the beach
- reef for snorkeling is literally 10 kicks off the beach.
- shore diving out to a wall that starts in 45 feet of water and drops to 12,000 feet with turtles, rays, sharks, and an abundance of sea life (lion fish have been hunted down and reef fish are abundant at the time of this writing) all available with a short swim out for diving on your own, or groups leaving from Cane Bay Dive Shop any time you desire to dive!
- share trees available along the beach
- crystal clear water and beautiful white sand
- every weekend it's a fun family party time on the beach.

If you haven't been down to Cane Bay you are missing one of the most beautiful spots on St Croix. It's worth the drive if you are staying on the east end. You will feel like you are on a completely different island! Make a day trip out of of it. You won't be sorry!

“Beach dive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

Beautiful beach with soft white sand and nearby food and drinks. One of the best beaches on the island. Also good for snorkeling - the water gets deep very slowly so it's a great spot for kids to play with minimal hazards.
but the best part about this beach is that it is one of the best places for a beach-entry SCUBA dive. Take your snorkel if you want to paddle out face-down - alternatively, you can kick out on your back. Swim out (with a partner of course) about 1/2 mile and you're at the Wall.
Lots of fun and a nice change from the usual boat dives.

“Best beach on the island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

A must go, this place had some of the best snorkeling on the island, just be aware of where you step as there is a sea urchin forest not far off shore.

“Great Sunday spot!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

Loved Calvin's pig roast and the R&B Connection band on the beach! Chairs are available to rent $7. "Eat @ Cane Bay" is right across the street. They close early on Sundays though. They have THE BEST rum cake with caramel sauce that I've EVER had!!!!! Beautiful sunsets to be had here too!!!!

“Not horrible, but will not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

This is an average beach at best. Went there with my wife, we usually go to beaches to tan, swim an do some light snorkeling. The sand was brownish and slightly rough, there was a lot of sharp rocks and uneven slopes which made swimming less than enjoyable. The current was strong and there was quite an undertow which make it unattractive to young kids and unexperienced swimmers. I must say there was some cool sights while snorkeling (coral and fish of all size... Tiny and huge!) but the current is intense, so if you don't use fins, you will get quite a workout swimming against the current which is doable but exhausting, or else you might end up dangerously far from the beach.
