“Best of the Best on St Croix”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2008

I've stayed at many hotels in the USA and abroad, and the Arawak Bay Inn is by far the best! Besides the fact that it's clean, neat, large rooms, great food, and has Internet access. The number one stand out feature is the friendliness and hospitality of Jennifer and Lionel, the proprietors of Arawak Bay Inn. Never before have I received so much service and attention, regardless of the price. If you're going to St Croix, there is only one place to stay, the Arawak Bay Inn at Salt River.

“Great value, lovely host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2008

My girlfriend and I traveled down to St. Croix for 3 nights after a few days in St. Thomas/St. John. This B&B was recommended by another place that was already booked. I'm glad Arawak Bay had availability because it made our St. Croix stay very pleasant.

Owners Jennifer and Lionel are a lovely couple who did everything to accommodate us, from picking us up at the ferry port, making us whatever breakfast we wanted each morning, helping us get a rental car, and offering to take us to the ferry port on the way home.

The B&B is still very new. Rooms are more than spacious with wireless Internet, mini-fridge, and cable TV. A great deal for the rate of $140/night (low season).

There's a cosy pool out back and Lionel was in the process of finishing the outdoor bar/sitting area which I'm sure will be a hit once it's finished -- there's nothing better than hanging outside under the stars with a view on the bay, cold beer in hand, recapping the day's activities.

Would happily stay there again.

“One of the Best!”

Our group of family and friends, composed of twenty-one adults and five children, stayed at Arawak Bay for five wonderful days. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! The hospitality was excellent, the breakfasts were delicious, varied, and generous, the service was friendly and efficient, and the owners were warm and gracious. The individual rooms and common areas at the Inn are arranged to perfectly balance privacy with opportunities to socialize, making it an equally fine choice for family groups or individual travelers. The location is quiet and scenic and within easy driving distance of beaches, Christiansted town, and other tourist attractions. An on-site pool and cabana were nearing completion while we were there. For travelers seeking an authentic Caribbean experience with first-rate accommodations and service, I highly recommend Arawak Bay: the Inn at Salt River.

“Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2008

We were staying at a condo in St. Croix and were touring the island when we came across this really charming and well kept inn. Jennifer,, the owner, took us on a tour of the place and it is a real delight. Caribbean decor throughout and spotlessly clean with all the usual hotel amenities. It is brand new , just opened this year. We were really impressed. The second floor gallery had a lovely view of the ocean . Jennifer and her husband run the inn and she is the friendliest person you could meet. While we were there I heard her offering to give some guests a ride to a local restaurant. She really seems to want people to have a good time. If you want a personal touch, a lovely inn to kick back in, this is your place. The rates are great (140 high season) which for the caribbean and the standard they are setting is a really good deal. We are going to stay there next time were are in ST. Croix.

  • Liked — The fact that it was new and charming and clean as a whistle. Also the lovely owner.
  • Disliked — They are still building their poor but there are good beaches nearby in the meantime.

“Great New Place with Super Amenities and B&B Attitude”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2008

A unexpected event took me to St Croix for 4 days. I found this spot through the guys at the Salt River Dive Shop (hi guys!), about 1/4 mile away. Jennifer and Lionel are the proprietors and innkeepers. Their place is brand new, everything very well constructed with an eye for architecture and art. The walls are covered with beautiful work from the West Indies. The rooms are spectacularly clean, with the comfortable mattresses and linens used by high-end hotels. TVs and WiFi in all the rooms make doing business there very easy. But, the most fabulous thing was the breakfast served each morning. Everything was homemade and Jennifer specializes in baking. Fresh breads, muffins, and other delights were served every morning, along with oatmeal, french toast, fresh fruits and juices. Rates were reasonable and it was a great find for me.
