“Poor Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Many of the staff we encountered throughout our one week stay were not overly friendly(some were rude), nor desiring to serve to serve basic requests. They were rarely proactive in identifying needs, and we saw very few smiles, illustrating what appeared to be a discontentment in their job . When calling the front desk or concierge during normal hours, rarely did they pick up their phone, to the extent that we had to call back numerous times. We honestly felt like it was an imposition to ask most people for anything, despite spending $13,000 for the week to stay in a 3-bedroom oceanfront suite. The manager did reach out several days into our trip and send a bottle of wine to the room, which was nice, but on the whole, the resort in our opinion needs to do an overhaul on the staff and remove those who are negative and not embracing the goal of providing a 5 star experience. I would rate this resort between a 2 and 3 on a 5-point scale, only because the Accommodations were nicely appointed with comfortable beds, great kitchen and living room, L'Occitaine products. Housekeeping was also excellent. Without these things, I would rate the hotel even lower.

Our commitment at the Resort is to provide the finest in service and personal attention to everyone who stays with us and it is helpful when our guests share their experiences allowing us to refine our product where necessary.

I was disappointed to hear that you were not pleased with the service levels you received at the Resort. When I got the opportunity to speak to you I was under the impression that you were enjoying your stay and service had improved since your first day. I am sorry to hear that this was not the case. I regret that we did not get the opportunity to discuss these shortfalls further with you during your stay and cater better to your expectations. We take our guest feedback very seriously and I have shared your comments with our team.

I look forward to welcoming you back to Seven Stars Resort to enjoy a memorable experience in all aspects of your stay.

The resort is family friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Ours was ocean front view, it was great! The breakfast is good. The staff are friendly. The Beach was the best thing ever! its white clean sand. The water is clear, you would not want to leave at all...The wifi was very good and the coverage on the beach areas was good as well.

I just stayed at the Seven Star Resort for my birthday. This place was excellent! The pros definitely out weigh the cons.

Pros- Super friendly staff! The room was beautiful, probably the best I've stayed at. The hotel was well kept and clean. I *highly* recommend the Seven restaurant. There's a HUGE grocery store directly across the street. And of course the beach is spectacular!

Cons- The resort is fair small. There is absolutely nothing to do at night and no sorts of entertainment during the day from the hotel. One day there was a tropical storm so the Deck was closed and because it was Sunday Seven was closed too (which are all of the restaurants at the hotel). The only decent restaurant that's walking distance that was open on Sunday was Via Vento (definitely recommend!).

The resort was beautiful with an abundance of luxury. Staff was fantastic and willing to accomodate our family which included a small child. The spa was excellent and made for a relaxing escape during Tropical Storm Bertha. TCI as a whole is very expensive so the resort was no exception. The pool and beach could not have been better! Short walk to town with no fear of safety concerns.

My Husband and I recently spent a few days at this resort on Turks and Caicos. I can highly recommend it. From the minute you arrive, the friendly staff make you feel very special and pampered. An introductory punch (with or without rum) and a guided tour of the resort and your room are just the beginning. We stayed in a Junior Ocean front room which was on the penthouse floor with the most amazing view of the ocean and the resort. The room was very spacious and very clean. Our stay at both the resort and exploring the shops at Grace Bay was very enjoyable. The beach has the whitest, smoothest sand I have ever seen and the turquoise water was so clean and clear. Our breakfast (included in the room rate) was more than ample and quite delicious. The resort is centrally located next to all the shops and restaurants in Grace Bay and we took the complimentary bicycles and toured the area - lots of fun. We have been to a few of the islands in the Caribbean and I can quite honestly say that Turks and Caicos is very special and we can highly recommend Seven Stars Resort. We can't wait to go back again.....

Room Tip: Try and get an ocean front room as high up as possible

This resort is such a wonderful place to stay! The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are spectacular, and the beach is phenomenal. Also, the staff was tremendously friendly even outside of the hotel.

This resort was exactly what my husband and I had hoped for. From the very beginning we were pampered and well-cared for. Upon arrival we were brought cold towelettes and fruit punch with rum offered on top. Our room was beautiful and clean--one of the highlights of the entire trip. All of the rooms look out onto Grace Bay with one of the best beaches in the world. This white limestone sand beach was a five minute walk from our room. The hotel had water sports equipment for us to borrow and plenty of deck and beach chairs/umbrellas.

The wifi in our room was pretty weak, but the staff took care of the problem for us. All of the dining experiences at the resort were delicious, if not rather expensive. Last but not least, the daily complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious!

I cannot say enough about how luxurious, comfortable, beautiful, and friendly this resort is. If you're planning a trip, especially a honeymoon, you should definitely stay at the Seven Stars!

The hotel sits on the magnificent Grace bay, close by to lots of local restaurants and bars. The public areas are clean and airy and the bedrooms and suites are splendid. We had a one bed seaview which was superb. Fantastic aircon, lovely furnishings, fab bed, excellent bathroom shower, terrific balcony with furniture to overlook the crystal ocean. Kitchen area very well equipped with all you need, modern and functional in all areas, kept spotlessly clean.

We came here to relax, and the SSR makes that easy. The pool area is wonderful, obviously direct access to the beach, lovely pool and v comfy sun bed, and deck areas. The grounds are beautiful and the bar service really first class. Special thanks to DAN and LILA who made our stay extra special with their friendly and super proffessional manner, a credit to the hotel, as was EVETTE from the Seven restaurant at breakfast, staff make a hotel for me and these 3 in particular excelled. On saying that all staff were very friendly and efficient.

The deck restaurant was peaceful, great views and good food for beachside. Seven was pretty and the food was very good.

Really cannot find fault in this lovely resort. TCI is not cheap and SSR is no exception, however having looked at other resorts while there like Regent Grand,West Bay and Beaches my view would be pay the extra if you have too and Stay at Seven Stars, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Any sea view, higher the better
