“Great Vaca at the windsong!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Our trip to Turks & Caicos is one of the best vacations we have been on. The Windsong is a great place to stay. We stayed in an oceanfront one bedroom suite and it was great. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the beautiful water which is stunning to say, along with sunsets & just relaxing to the sound of the water. The suite had everything we could ever need and then some and the bed was very comfy. I could live in this suite and be very happy. The grounds are all well kept and clean. all the staff at the Windsong was always looking to help or do whatever it takes to keep you happy. The resort is small and everything is in close range, which I like, never waited long periods for anything, service was very good. You could walk the beach for miles, day or night time. From the minute we arrived til we left everything was perfect, every meal we ate was yummy, the beach was great never crowded always chairs. The beach crew kept everyone happy. We ate at Somewhere, the local fish fry, Hemmingways, Mr. Grouper's, Big Al's and Mango Reef, also at the Windsong and all the food was delicious along with some beautiful sunsets. We also went to Sapadilla Bay & Chaulk Sound which was blissfully gorgeous, we also ate lunch on Chaulk Sound (at Las Bris bad spelling of name) a must do. Beach was basically secluded and the water is breathtaking. Can't say enough about Provo one of my favorite vacations, we will be back!

Room Tip: Stay Oceanfront 2nd floor & up for spectacular views, well worth it.

We appreciate receiving your positive review and we are so glad you had your best vacation ever at the Windsong Resort.

Our boutique hotel is perfect for a relaxing getaway and we are happy that you enjoyed the comfort and luxury of the accommodation. We do agree that the views from the oceanfront suites are stunning, and they make for great sunset gazing.

This is the first time I'm writing a review of a hotel stay but I had to write! We just returned from our first trip to Turks and Caicos to celebrate our first babymoon. We will definitely come back - both to the island and to Windsong. We booked the trip last minute and stayed in a 1 bedroom suite across from Windsong 1, (unfortunately no ocean view - but we live in Miami and see water all the time, so we weren't so concerned). We had a pull out couch in the livingroom, small walk in kitchen, his and her sinks, washer/dryer - it was a great space for the two of us and eventually we think it would be a good space for our expanding family. (I would suggest more towel hooks and bathsuit lines to dry our things after a day on the beach - but that's just small details). All in all - the hotel is a great value and many amenities to make your stay enjoyable as a couple or with family.

In general, Windsong is a beautiful boutique hotel located right on the beach. When we first arrived we were greeted with cold towels and punch - they made me a virgin drink since I'm pregnant. The ground of the hotel is modern with the quintessential carribean vibe. The property is well maintained and it has an upscale yet cool laid back vibe...and not too crowded.
We spent our 5 days (July 17-21) snorkeling, kayaking, SUP, and used the Hobie - all complimentary. This was a plus for us as we like to both relax and be adventurous without having to pay every single time we want to have an excursion. We loved that the reef was right across from the hotel and apparently one of the best reefs in Provo. The staff was helpful and very attentive to our needs for the most part - there was some days where I felt like cleaning staff came in to just make our beds and leave without paying attention to some details in the kitchen and bathrooms.

At the front desk, Samintha and staff were very helpful with calling and confirming our reservations and suggesting that we not move up one of our reservations at Magnolia so that we don't miss the sunset....great suggestion. Akeem and Jerry, beach staff - were very attentive to us on the beach and provided bottled water, cold towels to us everyday. We always found beach shares and umbrellas. We would take advantage of the complimentary breakfast and since we rented a car - we would drive around to different places for lunch and dinner. Somewhere Cafe, Big Al's, Thai Orchid, Magnolia, Coyaba, Coco Bistro are among some of the places we would recommend.

The hotel is 15 minutes to the airport and very central to other parts of the Provo island. We would recommend to rent a car (we rented from Avis - about $20 a day) The price of taxis can get expensive and they charge per person. And you can explore the island (Provo is not that big) at your discretion.

Can't wait to come back with our kids in tow!

We were fortunate enough to get the Windsong Villa (or white house) for our anniversary trip. The house is beautiful, perfectly maintained and the ultimate in beach-living. If you are considering going to Provo, you need to stay at the Windsong and this house before it goes away. You get all of the benefits of the Windsong resort with the beauty and privacy of a single family rental home. All my previous reviews will let you know the details. The staff at Windsong is great, the new dune-top restaurant has better views of any of the hotel restaurants at which we have dined. If the Villa is not to be, stay at Windsong anyway. Great people, great beach- fantastic snorkeling (as proof, guests from other hotels are always seen walking to this stretch of beach to snorkel).

Room Tip: All rooms face water with exception of the "lockout" rooms.

We appreciate your repeat visit to Turks & Caicos, and the Windsong Villa.

The vistas from the villa and having your own private pool while still being able to enjoy all the Windsong Resort amenities are an amazing and special combination.

Our team enjoyed being of service to you and your family and is looking forward to welcoming you back on your next visit.

Wow, where do I start?! My wife and I had a 1 bedroom 2 bathroom ocean-view suite on the second floor. The floors were large natural stone travertine tiles 18X18, all stainless steel kitchen aid appliances including accessories from dishware to a coffee maker, jacuzzi tub, his and her sink, large living areas, air conditioned with thermostat, and fully furnished (custom dressers), not to mention the California king bed, Bose sound system dock, and large flat screen T.V.s. This was a very modern suite! The view was superb! We enjoyed our wrap around glass doors (opened about 10 feet) and large outdoor furnished patio. We watched the sunset from our patio with some obstruction from palm trees.

The service was excellent! Although, I will say that everyone is on island time. Not a big deal because you are on vacation! I will never forget the wonderful staff that include Jerry, Nick, Jerome, Akem, and Samantha. They were never pushy for tips nor rude or unfriendly. In fact, as we were checking in front desk clerk offered us Rum Punch with Bambarra. They worked really hard to make sure that we were always comfortable. Not to mention the house cleaning staff that washed our dishes everyday! JoJo's cafe was okay and a little overpriced versus the food next door at Somewhere cafe. Easily a $100 bill versus $60.

My man Jerry hooked us up with sailing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, chairs, umbrellas, towels and recommended other activities on the island. Did i mention that you are right next to a protected reed? It was truly some of the best snorkeling. I highly recommend Caicos Dream Tours and the Concha Woncha Tour. Turks and Caicos rivals Hawaii in view. The sand is like talcum powder and the water is turquoise in color. The sun is extremely strong so i highly recommend sunscreen at least SPF 50. The Windsong Staff easily worked 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. These guys truly work hard to make you happy and comfortable.

Our honeymoon was epic. This was an easy 10K resort including all expenses and worth every penny. I personally don't mind spending the extra cash because you get what you pay for. It's hard to write this review because I don't want to let the secret out about the Windsong Resort. We can't wait to go back. I could've easily gone to Beaches (family resort) next door which is all-inclusive but seemed overrated in my opinion.

Room Tip: 1 Bedroom suite with living area ocean view. Hands down.

We had a 2BR Junior Suite with ocean view on 2nd floor - well equipped, with full kitchen.

First, the positives on the resort: The view! Sliding glass doors open ALL the way to a wrap-around patio with amazing and unobstructed view of the awesome turquoise oceanfront. The resort, overall is very clean and well-maintained.I saw employees cleaning and grooming the grounds constantly during our stay. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Noticed no noise from neighboring rooms at all, contrary to other comments I had read here (and the place was full). For the most part, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

A few negatives/suggestions: The floors in the suite were never cleaned well -- if we didn't wear slippers or sandals after showering, our feet got dirty walking around and we had to wash them before bed. Jojo's Cafe: We had lunch there the first day, which was mediocre at best, and service was terribly slow. We put up with the slow service most days for breakfast because continental breakfast was included - wouldn't have otherwise, Drinks at the bar were good there though.

Snorkeling is convenient just a few hundred feet from the beach, but the reef didn't have much sea life of interest to look at - maybe ruined from too many tourists.

Waited almost 45 minutes for bikes on day 2. The next time, we were a little more insistent, and got them faster.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at TCI. Be prepared to spend more money than you might have planned for though. Everything is pricey $$$ - taxi's, restaurants, groceries, etc.

Room Tip: Get a beachfront suite.

My family and I had a a wonderful stay at the Windsong Resort. The resort was a great place to stay and perfect for the kids. The staff made the difference though as they constantly went out of their way to make it a great vacation for us. Both Elisha and Latika are two staff members that went above and beyond!

Absolutely amazing, luxurious rooms, with a full updated kitchen! Balcony with outstanding views of Grace Bay! The pool is pretty big, with a bridge crossing it and waterfalls cascading in. The food at the restaurant was very good, as well. It was a lot of fun kayaking, paddle boating, and paddle boarding. The resort is right in front of the Bight Reef, which is by far the best snorkel spot on the island. We saw groupers, barracudas, turtles, sting rays, and even a ten foot nurse shark! The only thing at the Windsong that isn't perfect is the service, which was friendly, but pretty slow, and not always reliable. Everything else makes up for this, though. We've stayed at three different resorts on Provo, and Windsong was by far the best!
