“AMAZING STAY!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

I never write reviews but felt it was needed. I spent 8 days at the Regent Palms and had the most amazing stay. From the rooms to the service everything was top notch. They really make you feel like you are Royalty when you stay there. VVIP treatment for everyone. Starting off the day with a free continental breakfast is great as you save about $50 every morning since the food is so expensive on the island. The hotel is great, the maids come 2x a day to clean and everything is on point. The only part of the island I had a problem with was when we went to the Ganzvoort for dinner. Rude people from the minute you walk in (do not even go there). Can't go wrong with the Regent Palms!

My wife and I just came back from 4 nts at the Regent Palms (4/30-5/4). We had a fantastic time. The location of the resort and the layout of the pool/restaurant and walk-out onto the pristine beach is perfect. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, which was bigger than our first 2 apartments. The layout flowed nicely, the bathroom with couples showerheads, Jacuzzi tub, etc was perfect. The living room had a nice feel, and the kitchen area was nicely appointed with Viking appliances and granite counters. The patio off of the living room was only feet from the pool. We found the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful, without being overbearing or annoying. I have read other reviews complaining about the staff, or that they don't come around often enough asking for drink orders at the pool or beach, but I didn't see that. Also, this isn't a Las Vegas pool, so there aren't going to be drink hawks going around every 30 seconds. This isn't that type of resort. There are bars located just feet from your beach chair or pool lounge, so if you want a drink, it's not like you have to walk a mile to get one.
The spa was great. We went for a couples massage and thought the amenities were great. Of course it is pricey, but we expected that going in. Nice sauna and steam room, open air or inside showers, etc.
We ate at both restaurants- Parallel 23 and Plunge. The food at Parallel for dinner was fantastic. Again, pricey- but the portions were sufficient and presentation was impressive. We ate at Plunge near the pool for most lunches. The jerk chicken pizza was our favorite.
I do agree with many other reviewers that the breakfast buffet is a little monotonous. The food is very good and fresh, but it would be good to diversify the choices a bit. Also, I would suggest they add simple amenities such as waffle irons and perhaps a made-to-order omelet station. Things like that shouldn't be an extra charge considering the amounts of $$ you are already spending.
The cleanliness of the resort is impressive. The rooms are spotless when housekeeping leaves, the walkways, pool, grounds etc are always swept, skimmed and neat. The pool was fantastic, the grounds and landscaping are gorgeous. When we did take a cab off property to go into town or another restaurant, on our return trip we told the driver where we were staying, they all raved about our choice (that may be standard practice no matter where you are staying just to kiss up, but we didn't get that impression).
Keep in mind- this place (and Turks in general) is EXTREMELY expensive. There are always gratuities added in as well as the resort taxes. BUT- this is the case anywhere you go here in T &C. This is not an inexpensive vacation, but you get what you pay for. We had a great time here and never wanted to leave the resort. WE can't wait to come back.

Spending a week in this paradise was nothing short of perfection. Not sure which was better...the food, accommodations, staff, water, beach, weather or amenities...The managers walk around the hotel constantly to make sure that each and every guest is happy. They know you by name and will make any change they are able to in order to insure their guests are experiencing total relaxation. Danny at the Pool is by far the most incredible human being...helping me shelter from the sun...bringing us waters...and ultimately making the vacation as stress-free as possible. He stands out as the most incredible staff member...Munsif, one of the managers is most amazing...as was every other person we met. The spa is beyond and the endless pool is breathtaking...the restaurant was one of our favorites and I miss the buffet breakfasts and delicious coffee every morning. Clearing...we will be returning...easy to get to from NY...I highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony that is not blocked by bushes...any location is perfect because it's near the...

Ok....so me and my friend from high school booked a 3 night stay here. The first day we got here everything was perfect. The rooms were gorgeous and so was the resort in general. The spa seemed like it was a must but $155 + 10% service charge aka tip, is a little over the top for an hour massage. All the staff was super friendly and the beach/pool area was perfect. The only negative of our stay was the food. The free breakfast buffet was pretty bad besides the omelette station. The eggs looked like mash potatoes and if your looking for a variety of fruit ( as it is a tropical island) there was basically nothing. We ordered breakfast from room service for 2 n it came out to almost $100 & both meals were tasteless and cold. All in all, the hotel is a 8/10 if the food wasn't so bad.

I have traveled to some of the nicest places places in the world, and the staff here is amazing, give or take one of the Concierge who never came through with anything...even after being given several requests, and a tip..That is pretty much the first time I have been let down on that one. We had a great Junior Sweet, Second Floor, with a balcony (supposed to be a garden view, but was actually an amazing view of part garden/pool/and ocean.. So, what more could we ask for. The pool was an infinity pool, and very relaxing. The beautiful fountain you see in the online picture was never turned on, as much as I asked when it would be on, they don't tend to understand you, or ignore you. I mean, I was looking for the whole ambiance. I would have given it a 5 if it weren't for some of the service/communication.

Every Wednesday night they have BBQ or some event with music, and that was nice. There were families of all ages. We were surpassed to see so many young couples with newborns. But be aware, as this is very annoying to me, people would go out at 7am and save chairs and never use them. And we went April 7-14, maybe spring break for some people, but still highly annoying. No cabanas, unless you get a Pool level room, then you have a mini cabana on your walk out level but no privacy.

No shuttle bus service anywhere on the island. Taxi Cabs are the only way to go, and seeing that Gas there is anywhere from $6 to $8 a gallon, you can just imagine the cost of a cab ride.

As for the spa, I found Amour to be amazing. This spa is to be considered the top in the Caribbean. Again, traveling around the world and US (I love spas), it was good, but I wouldn't put it on the top of 5. Amour was great for a massage.

The Shoppe.. Okay for prices compared to the little on in town. Check out their little gourmet and spice shoppe. Great for picking up some Prosseco and Cheese and having a little picnic.

Dinner at Parallel 23.. Highly recommend reservations. Though they were a miss on our last night. We chose to hit local places through most of our stay.

We did have a great experience for snorkeling.. Try the Catamaran trip, not the Booze Cruz one. It was MUCH more fun.

The other event that is well known on Thursdays is the FISH fry. Local Vendors, Craft, Food, and Music. Don't show up early as it doesn't get going right away. Try the Gully Wash, its the Island Drink, and don't forget to hit up the guy selling fresh coconuts right there. He pops them open and for some extra cash, will fill it with the local rum...

So, to wrap it up...this location is wonderful. If you just want beach and and a beautiful Turks Style room to stay in, its your spot. But for the extra amenities, i.e., more restaurants, closer to more shopping, I think you should go elsewhere, or taxi it. Don't get me wrong.. It is an expensive Island. And this hotel is absolutely gorgeous.

The Palms ozzes class in a relaxed and inviting manner. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure your visit is a good one. The rooms, infinity pool, bar, gym/spa and proximity to the beach are great.

Room was immaculately finished and decorated. Air conditioning worked almost too well, we were constantly freezing. Negative points on our room: No ocean view, for that kind of money ($600+ a night) I expected an ocean view, and most of the rooms DO NOT appear to have ocean views, shower head was horrible, TV did not have all of the channels listed.

Resort Pros: Friendly helpful staff, breakfast buffet was excellent, pool & beach were awesome obviously, only had trouble getting a chairs by the pool one time. Resort was perfect size, big enough to offer amenities, but small enough to not to be relaxing and not a total zoo. The resort had someone at the airport to greet us and get us into a van to be driven to the resort for $14/person which was great, did not know they were going to do that.

Resort Cons: Food & Drink prices: Absolutely absurd. $16 per drink by the pool, $5 for a can of coke. If you are going to eat lunch and dinner there and have a couple of drinks by the pool for two people you need to budget an additional $200-$300 PER DAY. Good news was that Mango Reef next door had $8-$9 drinks ($6 during happy hour) and much more reasonably priced food. The grouper I had there was excellent. Since it was a 30 second walk on the beach we just walked over there for 3 meals and drinks.

Turks and Caicos were great, we will definitely go back but will probably stay somewhere else where we have an ocean front room and much more reasonably priced food options. Resort is fabulous is though.

Room Tip: Want building 1 or 5 I think. We were on the back side of building 3 which was not the spot to be.
