We had lunch at the Beach House first. It was very good, and seemed similar to other lunches we had as far as price. We returned for dinner having enjoyed lunch, the atmosphere, as well Lativia (sp?)our server. Dinner was not quite as enjoyable. The food was delicious, and clearly fit for foodies. The food was well prepared and interesting. Although slightly higher priced than some of the other restaurants we had eaten in (Bay Bistro, Opus) clearly the chef took great care and thinking in developing the menu. What we did not appreciate, and led us to feel slightly ripped off, was the excessive cost of the soft drinks, $5 for a diet coke and $6 for ice tea. Really? It is one thing to pay for the creative design of a chef, it is another to just be blatantly overcharged. We would strongly encourage the owners of this restaurant to bring down the cost of the these types of items, they charge plenty for the food and that is where it is money well spent. The ratings for this review reflect our dinner experience. Our lunch was all around excellent.
