“Relaxing Time at the Beach House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

My husband, children (7 yo and 1.5 yo) and I returned from our stay at the Beach House over a month ago. This was our 5th trip to Providenciales. We stayed here about 6 years ago when it was the Turks and Caicos Club and have stayed at Villa Ren and Seven Stars (twice).

We had an oceanfront 2 bedroom on the third floor. The room is quite large and it is furnished in blues and whites, very different (much “beachier” and prettier) than it was before. The living area is so large that the room actually needs a little more furniture, maybe a desk on the wall next to the door. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and microwave. There is no stove or dishwasher. I find not having a dishwasher an annoyance. With 2 children we accumulate a lot of dishes daily. I do not hand wash dishes at home and I do not expect to when I go on vacation and am not staying in a traditional hotel . I think in the long run this could be an issue for the hotel because the management is trusting people to clean and sanitize dishes and put them away; you have no idea how people put them back in the cabinet. If they are dirty it is a reflection on the hotel. Also the washer and dryer have been taken out of the rooms. This was definitely a bad decision. Our suite had 2 bathrooms which were nice but certainly nothing fancy and a bedroom with a king bed and a bedroom with 2 twin beds. The day bed on the balcony got lots of use. This was a great addition!

We had breakfast at the restaurant daily due to our breakfast credit. Magic Mike was a wonderful host to us each morning and breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant one night which was great. I have to say that from what I can tell the restaurant rivals Coco Bistro which has always been our favorite.

The beach is gorgeous. The lounge chairs are nice and Roger and ______are very accommodating. Roger took my husband and daughter sailing and got out paddle boards for us and snorkeling equipment. We were told that a beach bar was set up daily but only saw it maybe twice during our stay. The pool is lovely, there is a good amount of shade in the pool area which is nice. I was surprised that since the bar is right there no one ever came to offer us a drink. If we wanted something we had to ask. In a hotel so small, you would think that service would be a little more of a focus.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Beach House. If we got a “deal” we would return. The management has assembled a nice staff and the décor changes are nice. However, the management needs to take into account that the Beach House does not have a convenient location, when compared to VR or Seven Stars, there is very little within walking distance. Taking away the full kitchens and laundry is also a deterrent to staying here especially for families which may have possibly been the goal. The Beach House is very intimate and the perfect place to spend a quiet, low key vacation.

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with the Beach House. We did not realize that it was the slow season, but it just made the attention and access to things that much easier. At first I thought I would be disappointed with the first floor room facing the ocean, but it was so lovely to walk out the doors and be on the beach in seconds, or to sit up in bed and see the amazing aqua water. One of the reasons we chose the Beach House was for the reputation of the food / chef. We were so pleased with dining experience almost everywhere else paled in comparison (we did love Cocoa Bistro too). We took advantage of the spa and had great massages by Sharon. The "gym" was a bit lacking, there were free weights, a stationary bike, an elliptical machine that didn't work, and a few benches: that is the only thing we thought could use attention. The staff was accommodating, pleasant and professional. We would definitely stay here again!

We recently spent 10 days at the Beach House starting Sept 2nd and we loved every second of it. I dont even know where to start! Except I do have to say that the review below this one is from someone who doesnt understand what "boutique" hotel means. They are obviously either to stuck up or maybe just totally confused to understand what this hotel trys to give its guests.
1) The rooms could not have been decorated any better. The coastal, island theme was perfectly captured. My wife is an interior designer and we like to think we have awesome taste! The Beach House furniture was stylish yet very comfortable. The day bed on the balcony had beautiful pillows and the bed was super comfortable and fit into the room nicely. The rain shower in the bathroom was super nice. The beach house grounds had beautiful flowers and bushes throughout. The landscaping was spot on.
2) The beach was absolutely incredible. We were the only ones on it because September is low season and all the resorts (Gansevoort, West Bay Club, Beaches) nearby were closed! We had grace bay literally to ourselves. Super romantic. Bight reef is a 2 min walk down the beach and has great off the beach snorkeling. perfect for first timers!! and the beach house gives you all your gear for free. They also have awesome paddle boards and the beach attendant can give you an amazing boat trip on the hobie cat. a must do!! The beach chairs were super comfortable and yes very stylish.
3) The restaurant was our favorite on the island by far. The chef makes the most incredible meals and the appetizers are amazing. People get scared by "resort" restaurants but this one serves up world class food in a lovely atmosphere. While it is not directly on the water, it is in a beautiful courtyard next to the pool. It is more expensive than most American restaurants but you have to remember that food is 2 to 3 times more expensive on the island then back in the states.
4) The staff goes out of there way to make you feel extra special. A daily maid service and turndown service at night is just the bare basics of what they do to make your vacation incredibly relaxing. The front desk can set you up with any kind of tours or excursions.

Room Tip: All the oceanfront rooms are incredible. Definitely pay the extra not to stay pool side!

We are so thrilled you had an amazing experience - we do try hard to ensure that none of the "little things" go unnoticed and in turn, will enhance our guests' experiences. Stayed at the Beach House in late August and had a wonderful stay. We absolutely loved this resort! We had an ocean front room on the ground floor. Even though you can only slightly see the ocean from the ground floor, we loved the convenience of walking out of our backdoor onto the wooden walkway that took you right out to the beach. The room was very large with a king bed, pull out couch, 1 full size bathroom and kitchen (full size fridge, no stove, but microwave). The décor was fabulous...made you feel like you were at your own private beach house. The room was very close to everything on the property and because the property is a smaller resort, it never felt crowded. The service was excellent and the staff was the most gracious staff I have ever experienced in the Caribbean. They were always worried about your well-being and went out of their way to make sure you were enjoying yourself. The resort is very close to Bight Reef, which is located in front of the Coral Gardens Resort. It is about a 5 min walk to the reef and we snorkeled it every morning. The Beach House set up two lounge chairs with thick pads, towels and umbrella for us every day on the beach and this was included in the rate. Roger, the beach attendant, gave us excellent service while we were at the beach. You can order drinks/food if you want. He also gives you a chilled washcloth mid-day to cool you down. They also have a pool in the center of the resort that had chairs, pads, umbrellas set up as well. Wireless Internet was included also and easy to use/connect.
We ate breakfast at the property every morning. The cost for two eggs, bacon/sausage/potatoes and toast was $14 each which is very reasonable for the Turks. We did not eat lunch or dinner at the resort. In front of the reef was a Tex/Mex place called Somewhere, where we ate lunch after snorkeling the reef. They have outside tables and the prices for lunch ranged from $13 to $17 dollars each. The fish tacos and fish sandwich were very good but we had a chicken sandwich one day that was terrible. Very tough. Alcoholic drinks on the island run $10 to $15 a drink. We went to the Gateway IGA and bought DonQ rum for $10.00 a bottle and mixed our own some of the time. We did stop by the Wine Cellar to check out the prices but they were about $10.00 higher than the states for most liquor. However, if you want a particular brand that is not at the IGA, chances are you could find it there.
We rented a compact car from AVIS and it averaged about $40.00 per day including taxes. We grabbed lunch at Sweet Tea’s , which is near the airport. Everyone recommended it for chicken wings and fries. We got about 8-10 wings with fries for $4.00. This is only served To-Go. We also checked out Bugaloos which is owned by the guy that started the Conch Shack. Bugaloos is a new place on Five Cays, which has an outstanding view, outdoor seating with shade right on the beach. It has outstanding conch dishes as well as shrimp and fish fingers. We loved the island vibe there. This is a must see. They have a big Sunday night bash there that we heard about as well. Also on Sunday night, the Tex/Mex place within walking distance to the Beach House Resort has music and $5.00 drinks .
We ate dinner at Hemingways (Sands Resort) and also at Coco Bistro’s. Hemingways is great for Sunset dinners, but you should make a reservation to make sure you get a decent seat on the outside desk. The food there was really good, especially the shrimp and grouper dishes. We ate seafood at Coco Bistro (Mahi and Tuna) and the quality was very good. We loved the palm tree ambience but prefer a beach setting if we are going to pay the higher prices.

We are planning our next trip back and can't wait. We will definitely be staying at Beach House!

My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to just relax. What a glorious spot for it! The staff were attentive and lovely. Imagine lying on your private, reserved, double, chaise lounge chair with your sweetie in the warm Caribbean sun and having a staff member approach you with an ice cold, lemongrass-essential-oil infused washcloth. Yep, that’s the Beach House. Roger and Sherman, the Beach House staffers who work on the beachfront, will be happy to find you a sailboard or just as happy to bring you a cold beer. Aside from the beautiful beach, the accommodations are generous and clean. It’s the other stuff that you can’t believe: Flo, our housekeeper, brought me fresh mangos because she heard that I loved them and most nights the staff would appear for the turndown turn-down service with a delicious drink or a tasty treat (macaroons, mango tea).
I could go on and on about the food at the Beach House. It’s fantastic! The most fantastic nicoise salad of your life is waiting.
The Beach House staff didn’t treat us customers, they treated us like their guests.

Room Tip: 2nd story oceanfront -- gorgeous. The verandas are fantastic!

Dear Guest,
What a lovely review - thank you very much - we're so glad you felt like invited guests rather than customers - it's so important in a small boutique hotel such as Beach House - we believe that attention to detail certainly makes the difference. We're happy you chose to enjoy your anniversary here - and thank you for all your comments. We hope you'll come back and stay again soon.

All this on the best beach with the best water....
5 course tasting menu with wine pairing beachside at sunset, with sommelier was expensive but sublime....ranks in top 3 epicurean events of my life. The staff are genuinely kind - consistent with island vibe... the Fish Fry was a community/tourist weekly event that showcased foods and culture and was a beautiful walk up the beach and back one evening. This was a friendly/wholesome/fun and unique way to mingle with the tourists from other resorts as well as the Belongers...finally massage by Sharon was the best in memory. The best massage happens when physical traits (tall woman gifted with huge hands), knowledge, the "touch" lots of skill and experience and a totally serene environment converge

Room Tip: the third floor suites were spacious and had kitchens but no stoves - not a big deal, who wants to c...

I must say that we had such a wonderful experience at The Beach House. The property is lush and well kept. The staff is warm and inviting. This is also one of few instances where the professional photos resemble the property exactly. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Our day bed outside on the patio was one of our favorite spots looking out towards the ocean. There were welcome gifts when we arrived and every evening we had a special surprise in the fridge from the chef. We were also welcomed with cocktails of our choice.

On the beach, every room has a reserved plush lounger with umbrellas. It is yours, with your room’s name on it, for the entire stay. There are beach attendants catering to your every need. Drinks, lunch, kayaks, snorkel gear, tubes, lounge floaters, kayaks, and paddleboards are provided on request. Thank you Sherman and to all the rest, sorry I cannot remember all their names.

Now on to the restaurant: The breakfast was highlighted by their amazing coffee, French pressed. Everything was well presented and tasty. Magic Mike was there to greet us every morning with a big smile and story. We had a picnic lunch one day that fed us for two days. It came in two small picnic baskets and included monstrous sandwiches, two types of salads, and fresh fruit. All of it was fantastic and well seasoned. For both nights we indulged in eating at the restaurant for dinner. JS Richer would greet us with and delightfully entrance us with the evening’s wines and dinner selections. I must say that the food here is beyond amazing! Not only are the dishes well thought out and pair excellently with each other, every part of the dish is well seasoned and full of flavor that could stand-alone. The bread that is served through out the day rivals many European breads and their wine list featured some fantastic wines around the world at a not very high mark up.

I cannot say enough about this hotel and their staff. Everything is coordinated and executed perfectly. Thank you for such an amazing vacation!

Room Tip: Beachfronts are worth it. If you want to see the ocean get a top floor room. Bottom floor rooms have...
