We went parasailing on a recent vacation to the Turks & Caicos. We were sitting on the beach, when "Beach Max" came over with fliers for Captain Marvin's Watersports and asked us if we wanted to go parasailing. We had never been parasailing, and the price was $75 per person.

We were told that we would be in the air for 15 minutes. When we got on the boat, there was a big sign that said "Flight Time 12 Minutes." I happened to be wearing a watch, so I took a look at it. We were only in the air for 7 minutes - Half of what we were promised.

Parasailing was a lot of fun, and it is definitely something I would want to do again, but make sure you get your money's worth. When we were being pulled in, one of the crew members saw me look at my watch and kept asking if everything was alright. When it was time to settle up, they had us pay while we were floating in the middle of the ocean, and we were in no position to complain or request a discount.

We are a family of 4 and this was our first time parasailing. I was a little scared initially but my fears were soon turned to absolute joy we all had a blast. The boat was clean. The staff were excellent I would recommend Captain Margins parasail to everyone that is lucky enough to visit the island of Providenciales.
a big shout out to the captain and his crew thanks for a memorable time.

“Very cool experience with awesome scenic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

We took a parasail after we ate lunch at mango reef back to our hotel the Seven Stars. The view from up top is awesome. It's $75 a person and you are up in the air for 12 minutes. If you have never done parasailing I would recommend doing it in Turks and Cacios.. It's def something you will never forget! The water and scenery is beautiful from up top!

“Parasailing - One Problem After Another - And They Charged Us For This?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

My nine year old son and I headed out on the boat with a group of another 10 or so people. It was a beautiful morning and we were very excited about our first parasailing experience. The whole trip was a comedy of errors that made us question the experience of this company. First, once we were out in the open water, the crewman released the parachute into the water instead of the air. The captain called him a fool and the crewman told the captain to stop screaming at him. Once they got the parachute out of the water and into the air, a gentleman and his son were strapped onto the harness. They were flying for 2-3 minutes when the engine of the boat stopped. The captain couldn't get it started again. The man and his son ended up in the water bobbing up and down like shark bait. Once the captain figured that he couldn't get the engine started again, he asked the crewman to throw the anchor in the water. Whoops....forgot to tie the anchor onto the boat first. Again, they started yelling at each other. Fortunately, they had another anchor. The captain then hooked himself onto the line and made his way out to the gentleman and his son. A rescue boat from one of the resorts came out and picked up the man and his son and brought them back to our boat...the broken down boat. After waiting an hour or so, another boat from the company's fleet came and picked us up. If you wanted to get off at this point, they said that they would bring you back to your resort. Half the boat went back to their resorts. We stayed on with another family. We figured that we would immediately get to go up, but no...they actually went and picked up more people from other resorts before taking us up. It ended up being a nearly 3 hour episode. The captains of both the broken down and "recovery" boats told us that it was the first time that they had used the boat they originally took us out in....nice quality assurance program for a company that's in the business of taking people up 600 feet in the air. At the end of it all, we thought for sure there would be some sort of pricing concession if not free....absolutely not. They still charged us the $150. What a joke...I would never recommend this company to anyone.

“First timer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We met Fritz on the beach by Beaches Resort. We met him early in the week and said to come back as we weren't ready to go that day. He said "no problem!" He didn't pressure us at all and got us set up with the boat crew. It was my husband and son's first time and they loved it! Safe and clean!! Thanks to Fritz and the Captain Marvin Crew!!
