We stayed at Beaches the last week of August. Although very hot, the water clarity and beach are second to no other island!

The resort is beautifully maintained, rooms were very nice, food was excellent. You have 11 resturaunts to choose from! Drinks were just the way you wanted them strong and the staff was very friendly. Special thanks to Tadane and Ronald at Arizona's bar for the free entertainment!!! Those guys were a trip...

One item of note, our room upon check in had a musty odor in it. We complained (nicely) and they ended up giving us a better room that we had originally booked. No complaints there! For an All Inclusive resort, this is the place to stay!! We will definitely go back!!!

My wife, myself and our two year old daughter just returned from Beaches Turks & Caicos. Overall we had an OK time. The property is very large, yet the buildings and especially the rooms are dated compared to other luxury hotels, even those on the Island like Parrot Cay, The Palms, Grace Bay and similar.

The food is average at best. If you like Burgers and Hot Dogs, then you will really like the food. The breakfast is nothing to go crazy for. Any hotel including a Holiday Inn can provide a basic Omelet Bar which is avaialable in the Reflections & Guiseppe's Dining areas. But neither is no where near great. Just basic food.

For the kids. Many guests complained that the kids services were just mediocre. We agree. Our daughter did not really enjoy the kids facilities and we were very surprised because she LOVES hanging out with other kids.

Watchout for all the hidden charges. Make sure to bring sunscreen, diappers, etc because Baby sunscreen 50 SFP at Beaches is a WHOPPING $30 if you loose it or forget it.

I would suggest to Beaches Management to ensure every outside or swimup pool BAR has bottled water available in addition to the alcoholic drinks.

Don't expect people to come to you for drink orders. You need to go and fetch this or pay for the extra Butler fee.

All in all, an OK vacation. Not something we would want to repeat anytime soon.

Turks & Caicos, Providincials
Aug. 25-Sept. 1, 2007
We booked out vacation through Beaches directly. The agents were very knowledgeable and helpful.
My husband and I traveled with my 2 1/2 year old son and once we arrived to Providincials Island Turks & Caicos we were taken back with the hospitality and beauty of the resort. There was something for all of us to do and when we needed some alone time Camp Sesame took great care of my son. The entire staff was more then eager to make our stay memerable. The shows had audience participation and the children of all ages loved being apart of it. The Sesame Characters made sure they interacted with every child and were very patient with anyone wanted to take pictures with them. We met so many family that have been there before and now we know why. I would recommend it to everyone.

I too was a little apprehensive about some of the reviews I had read about Beaches Turks and Caicos before going. But let me say - naysayers GET A LIFE!

My husband and I just returned from Beaches Turks and Caicos to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We arrived right before the Labor Day holiday when the resort was still very crowded, but there was a noticeable drop-off in the number of guests by Labor Day. I guess the kids were finally off to school. Most of the kids that remained were either not school-age or just beginning school. The workers stated that Labor Day starts their slow season until things pick up again in November. It was just my husband and I as our kids are grown, but the kids on the property did not bother us because it is so spread out and there is so much for them to do.

We were Signature Guests (repeat Beaches or Sandals customers) so I called ahead for a free upgrade and it was granted. We were in the Salt Cay villas with a view of Arizona's and the beach. We had a Govenor's one bedroom suite which was more than enough room for the two of us. We had a king bedroom with a tv, separate living room with a pullout trundle bed, table and chairs and another tv, mini bar with microwave, stocked fridge and coffeemaker. The snacks, including microwave popcorn, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were replenished daily even though we got most of our alchoholic drinks at the bars. We had a huge wrap around covered balcony and there were three sliding glass doors in the unit which led to the balcony. There was furniture on the balcony in each section. Our room was also exceptionally clean. The maids somehow must have staked us out when we left the room and came in and cleaned even when we weren't gone very long. There was also turn-down service if you wanted it. Wonderful!

I was able to watch many comings and goings of guests from the balcony including those that took way too many towels at the pool, those that put towels on chairs early in the morning to reserve chairs and then wouldn't come back for hours or never came back and those that left their towels on chairs even though they knew they were finished for the day. Others coming along wouldn't know if someone was using the chairs or not.

I am happy to say that most guests were very nice to the staff, even though we encountered a couple of rude people. The staff was outstanding! They were very professional, well-groomed and went out of their way to please no matter what their job title. They were always friendly. Now for those who say the staff was rude and unfriendly, it was probably because they were being rude themselves. If you pass them and put your head down or look the other way, of course they are not going to speak to you. But if you made eye contact, they were always very friendly.

Don't spend the money on the shopping trip, just get a cab and have them take you to one of the shopping areas for souvenirs. The shopping areas are very small and not plentiful. This island is very small and only has 12,000 people in Provendenciales. This is not the states, so don't think you are going to find big malls and such. Everything, and I mean everything is imported to the island, so things are very expensive. However, the souvenirs we found in town were infinitely less expensive than on Beaches property.

We found the food to be good everywhere we ate and my husband didn't feel like putting on a collared shirt and pants so we didn't eat at Sapodillas or Kimonas. I heard Sapodillas was very good though. The pizzeria has the best pizza! We really enjoyed the beach party Friday night. They closed all of the restaurants except for Bobby D's so everyone went to the beach for food. They had a great variety and it was good. There was also entertainment and fireworks.

Although all the staff we encountered were very good, these people were exceptional: our concierge Enoch - I can't say enough about him, Chris at Schooners, Edwin the bartender at Arizona's swim-up bar, Roger at Arizona's, Fredericka the photographer and John Lim, VP of Operations.

We will definitely return to this resort. We will probably wait until the Italian village is open even though I'm sure the prices will be higher. This trip was well worth every penny. Once on the resort property I did not pull my wallet out until leaving. It was the best resort we have ever stayed at for one of the best vacations we have ever had.

“Great Family vacation at Beaches Turks&Caicos”

Beaches Turks & Caicos

We just returned from the beaches turks and caicos resort. The resort and rooms were very well kept. We had a choice of 5 or 6 restaurants and each of them we great. The staff was always very helpful and polite. Even though there were alot of people at the resort, you never felt like it was too crowded. There were 4 pools and they were also kept very clean. The resort catered to the kids and offered day camps in different age ranges. There were at least 3 shows each evening. They also have a great Chocolate buffet on Sunday evenings. This resort is worth trying out.
