“They make you feel welcome in paradise...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We are frequent travelers in the Caribbean and our stay in the Venetian had the drawback of keeping us in our beautifully appointed unit longer during the daylight hours instead of enjoying the turquoise waters just outside our door. We were tempted to enjoy staying inside and look out at the panoramic views of Grace Bay just as much as swimming in them! The units are just beautifully decorated and the large terraces over-looking Grace Bay is such a treat. Collen and her entire team really helped us with all our vacation needs. We found the grounds were so well maintained and our daily cleaning really made our vacation feel like a vacation. Our only complaint was that our safe never got repaired during our stay as we requested a few times to get it fixed they never got around to doing so. Luckily,, didn't lose anything valuable. We ate next door at Ocean Club a few times but be prepared for "Island time" service. We ate Coco Bistro. The setting is very nice among the palms but the food was OK. Mango Reef was also nice because we ate right on the beach barefoot. you can't do that everyday! As a family we would come back in a heartbeat to the Venetian...they make you feel so welcome in paradise.

This was by far the best fit for our family to enjoy the gorgeous beaches of Turks & Caicos. We have four kids aged 11-17. Ornella emailed me upon receiving our reservation to offer her services with reservations as the resort does not have a restaurant on site. This was a plus in our minds as we wanted a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It does have a fully stocked kitchen, which we used for breakfast most mornings, some lunch and dinner once. She made all of our reservations for dining, helped with locating yoga for me, and offered suggestions on excursions and made those arrangements as well. She also helped me book a family photo session which turned out beautifully! (EyeSpice-highly recommended!) We took the photos on the grounds and right out the back of our room as it was a gorgeous backdrop. When my husband's luggage was lost, the manager (I am SO sorry her name escapes me!) was vital in helping us to get it back! When we arrived, the resort and our room were beyond our expectations. The unit we rented was well equipped and had thoughtful extras, plenty of space, and was well maintained. We loved the enclosed patio and spent a majority of our time there when in the room. Our view was spectacular. The beach was a few steps from our ground floor unit and was meticulously maintained. The location of the resort is the best on Grace Bay in my opinion being at the far east side. Besides those taking a beach stroll, we saw hardly another person on "our beach". Snorkeling was great a short walk down the beach for the whole family. Although we also went on the snorkeling excursion with Island Vibes which was an awesome experience for us all. (They picked us up right from our beach.) We utilized the on site tennis courts, bicycles, and fitness equipment. We did not use the pool, but it was very lovely and we did see a family in there a few times. This was a very relaxing and rejuvenating trip in paradise!

My wife, 14 year old daughter, and I spent 5 of the best vacation days we've ever had at the Venetian on Grace Bay. This property is simply the best!!! From the moment we stepped into the lobby and met Colleen (office manager), our experience was beyond 5 star. The condo was immaculate...everything from stainless steel, state of the art kitchen appliances, granite counter tops, bone China and crystal stemware, to a balcony that stretched from the living room to the master bed room and provided the absolute best view of Grace Bay and the crystal clear, blue waters of the Caribbean sea. The condo was very clean and spacious. The furnishings were new, the beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were large and very functional.
My family and I have visited many, very beautiful beaches in the south pacific, southern Asia and south and west Florida. We’ve also spent many nights on beaches in the Caribbean, but Grace Bay is the absolute best beach we’ve ever spent time on. The water is crystal clear and the color is an emerald green/blue. Just breath taking.
The staff was very nice. They were eager to help with all our requests including arranging for taxi’s, making restaurant reservations and arranging for a parasailing event. They did all this with a smile and an emphasis on making sure our stay was enjoyable.
If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the beach, I would HIGHLY recommend the Venetian on Grace Bay. You will not be disappointed.

Communication prior to arrival was excellent. Ornella returned all e-mails in a timely manner. The unit was stunning! Three bedroom penthouse #703, views spectacular! Pool very quiet, signs posted as a quiet zone. However, the beach is so beautiful and the water is calm and clear, we did not use pool. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are provided as well as towels. Unit was stocked with all conveniences; coffee, laundry detergent, sun screen, 6 bottles of water daily, toiletries, games, cards, puzzles, etc. Housekeeping was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, they even went to store to pick up coffee filters for us. There is a security guard posted on the beach at night. The staff at the venetian is extremely friendly, always taking the time to smile and ask about your day. There are a few casual restaurants within walking distance. We did rent a car, though, so we could grocery shop and tour the island, Taylor Bay Beach is a must.

The grocery stores have everything you could possibly want, much like the grocery stores at home. Alcohol is not sold on Sunday. We at our breakfasts and some lunches in our unit which saved us bunches of dollars. Be prepared to eat a lot of conch and fried food, it seems it's the island's specialty, we actually got tired of it and got pizza one night. Billy Bouys has a Jerk BBQ special on Wednesdays and the Jerk pork is excellent! Coco Bistro is expensive but worth the experience, the red snapper is delicious and the dessert is too. Restaurant service anywhere is caribbean is slow, slow, slow compared to U.S. standards; island time, as they say ... relax and enjoy. We didn't bother with the pricey hotel restaurants.

This is our 5th visit to the Turks. We rented houses in Ocean Point next toTaylor Bay when our children were young, but now that they are older, Grace Bay makes more sense. We stayed at the Royal Palms twice, but I like the quiet of the Venetian, it's far enough away, but still convenient. The Venetian is not a full service hotel, but a quiet condo in paradise.

We will go back to the Venetian on our next visit.

Room Tip: The Venetian is the last large building on the Grace Bay strip, if you choose a room that ends in 3...

I am reluctant to draw any attention to this absolute gem of a destination and accommodation, because I wouldn't want it to become over-run with guests, and have the peace and serenity spoilt. However, I very much doubt that it would happen, as the staff at the Venetian are absolutely amazing at delivering a personal, but not intrusive, service. This excellent service commenced before we had even arrived, as I exchanged several emails with Coleen beforehand.

I travelled to Provo with my mother to celebrate her 60th birthday and it was our first time in the Turks & Caicos. The location of the Venetian on Grace Bay Beach is absolutely perfect, and having had the benefit of previous reviews which suggested an 04 unit, we had uninterrupted views along the beach. The accommodation is of a fantastic standard with all the amenities you could possibly imagine needing whilst on holiday. Coleen and Terria continued with the excellent service during our stay and helped to arrange dinner reservations as well as my parasailing trip. I have no hesitation in recommending the Venetian and certainly plan on returning in the future.

We stayed here with our young child and some extended family in a 3 bed unit on the ground floor. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Venetian to others. Great beach with nice chaise lounges and umbrellas. The room was relatively new, with a full kitchen and laundry room. Furnishings were nice and the kitchen was well stocked. Daily maid service and refresh of bath and beach towels was a plus.

Just know what you are getting - a condo with nice facilities but no "resort amenities" (i.e. onsite bar/restaurant, watersports, etc.). The only other downside is lack of a hot tub. But all in all, fairly minor quibbles

We LOVED the Venetian on Grace Bay and will definitely be going back sometime soon! We traveled for 9 nights with 2 adults and one small child, and stayed in #701, which is a 3 Bedroom Penthouse with Media Room. The room itself is STUNNING. It is actually the one pictured on their website with the pale blue and cream décor (and the Octopus print in the dining area). Since these units are all condos and owned by invididuals, the décor of each room will be different, depending on what the owners chose for furniture, appliances, art, etc. The owners of 701 have fabulous taste....everything is stunning and comfortable.

Our favorite part of the penthouse was the balcony. The open air portion is great for reading and watching the sunset, while the screened in area is perfect for eating meals outside. There was NOT ONE bug in the entire screened in porch area...not even an ant! This is very unusual for Turks and Caicos, and means they obviously do a fantastic job of keeping the units spotless.

The management was fantastic (Terria, Coleen, & Bob) and the entire staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Marlene who cleaned our room most days. The same guys were outside pruning the landscaping each day and they always made sure to stop what they were doing, smile and say hello.

The beach is amazing (they all are on T&C), but what makes the location of the Venetian so great is that there is no hotel to the North of it.....just empty quiet beach. We loved walking up to the rocks each day to hunt for shells and our son loved looking for crabs and snails living on the rocks. Depending on the weather, the ocean is either very calm and clear, or if its windy, there are usually some waves. We had about 50/50 with calm days and big waves.

There is no bar/restaurant on site....which we much prefer, because it keeps the atmosphere calm and quiet. The beach is very peaceful, with no loud awful music playing all day. Since there is no place to get a cold drink on the beach (without walking a distance), I would recommend just one thing that would make the resort experience even better. A small cooler and a few ice packs in each kitchen would be extremely helpful. That way each family could bring their own bottled waters out to the beach each day.

We travel to the Turks and Caicos quite often, and we usually stay in a private villa. Here are the main differences I found between the Venetian on Grace Bay and a private villa:

1. Safety and Security: I felt much safer in the Penthouse at the Venetian than I normally do at a Villa. You are 7 floors up in the air, vs being right on the beach in a villa. We left our porch doors open (with screens) until way after dark and never worried. There have been quite a few armed home invasions of villas in the last year on Providenciales. Even though the villas all have alarm systems, you are all alone there, and sometimes its scary.

2. Privacy: There is much more privacy at a private villa than at the Venetian (obviously). We felt that our Penthouse balcony was very private, but when you are at the beach or pool you WILL run into people. Most of the guests were lovely, but a few of the owners (these are condos remember) were horribly rude to us and ruined one day of our trip. They acted like they owned the entire resort, rather than just their condo unit. At a private villa, you can go an entire week without speaking to anyone...which we like. We are not on vacation to make friends, but rather to spend quality time as a family.

3. Water Sports: Most of the villas we have rented include the use of stand up paddle boards, sea kayaks, and life jackets. We enjoy them and use them daily. The Venetian does not have any of these available for guests to use. You can walk down the beach a few resorts and rent them for $75 an hour....but its expensive and annoying to have to drag it back and forth.

4. Housekeeping: When you rent a villa, you have to clean up after yourselves. At the Venetian, they clean the room EVERY single day for you! It is amazingly wonderful! They even do the dishes!!! I loved that part.

Overall: You can't go wrong with this place...its awesome, and beautiful. You will love it :)

Room Tip: The penthouse is the way to go!
