“Fabulous trip - especially for families!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2011

We took this trip today and loved it again! We rode the semi-submarine last year and had a terrific trip. I have two young kids who are not quite ready for snorkeling (ages 2 and 4) and this was a way to show them the underwater experience. Last year I brought my mom and she loved it! Today we saw over 10 sea turtles swimming around as well as tons of fish and the beautiful coral reef. Betty the guide is excellent and the view from the semi-submarine is great even in turbulent water. I recommend it for everyone but particularly for people who are not able to snorkel to give them a view of the underwater life.

“Interesting, beautiful views of the many types of coral and marine life - explanation included!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2011

This underwater tour was really great. On our tour we observed sea turtles, a variety of beautiful fish, and of course the many kinds of coral. Narrarated by Betty, co-owner of the boat, it was an opportunity to learn about the underwater world in a coral reef. You might ask about the pirate jokes, as well! Great for all ages - our boat had great turtle spotters!

“A great family trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2011

Friends told us that we should go on this underwater tour and it was well worth it! We had no feelings of claustophobia because the submarine is spacious with lots of headroom, and light because of the full views through the large square windows to either side.

We saw four turtles, a school of tuna, lots of colourful fish of numerous species, and good views of the coral reef which seemed to be just below the bottom of the submarine.

Captain Alistair and Hostess Bettty are charming, and it was helpful getting Betty's commentary on the different fish and underwater sea life in general. There were many children on board, and the 45 minute tour appeared to be as interesting to them as it was to us.

“Turtles, barracuda, and so many colorful fish!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2011

We went out at 8am and were treated to a fabulous display of tropical fish around the coral heads at Smiths Reef. We saw green turtles, hawkshead turtles, colorful snapper, parrotfish, wrasse, porcupinefish, butterflyfish barracuda, lionfish, starfish. Betty is very knowledgeable about the different types of fish. I highly recommend this, especially if you are not able to snorkel or scuba dive. We took kids aged 4 and 6, and they loved it. So did we.
