“Amazing wedding and honeymoon getaway with family from around the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2009

I've never written a review before but after our trip to Harbour Club Villas I couldn't resist. We rented the entire resort of 5 private villas for a family getaway and a sunset cruise wedding on the Atabeyra. The high level of customer service started shortly after inquiring about the resort. Marta asked me what the intentions of our trip were and replied with a very thorough response providing insight that only a local resident could provide. She helped us coordinate the cake, flowers, car rentals, boat and much, much more.

It was the first time that my family from Chicago and my finance's family from Brasil and Barcelona were meeting so needless to say we were a bit nervous. The stay couldn't have been better. We were greeted each morning by Barry and Marta and depending on the objectives for the day, were provided with information and directions. This insight allowed us to explore the entire island or Provo during our 8 day stay.

We held the reception after the wedding cruise at their tiki hut. When we returned from the picturesque wedding cruise, the entire family was floored to see how Barry and Marta set up the reception area. To our surprise, Marta spent several days making hand crafted items that they used to decorate the tiki hut and pool. Their attention to detail was amazing. Since we were being treated like family during our stay, we invited them to celebrate the evening with us.

They provided a level of customer service well above and beyond our expectations. We couldn't have done it without them and look forward to returning for family vacations in the future!

Vicki, my wife, rates this trip as a go back and do again. Top of the list for both of us. A very unique group of villas and wonderful host.

My husband and I held a yoga retreat in Providenciales and we choose the villas for accomodations and privacy. Upon arrival, we were met by our lovely hosts, Marta and Barry and greeted by warm hugs. Right away we knew we were at home and welcomed as family. They made sure anything we needed was only a request away. The villas are perfect size, open and airy. The relative seclusion of the villas make it a prime spot to be on Provo as one should be- to relax and rejuvenate. The open feel of the villas is perfect and there are always little surprises from Marta, like fresh flowers and shells. She is a wonderful photographer and gardener too. We can't wait until the private meditation area comes into it's own to flow with the property! Everything here flows into another thing, it is all beautiful and lush. One night, we walked up to the private bench setting high up on the property and saw the most breathtaking sunset, full of brilliant hues of golds, shimmering pinks, magentas and periwinkle. Just like the flowers all around. The grounds are immaculate and the villas are as well. We had breakfast and a dinner out in the common area around the pool and gazebo. It was perfect. Since the marina is right there, the sounds of the waves soothe the soul at night and the saltwater refreshes the body and lungs. Yoga by the pool is a wondrous experience. Don't miss this place. The hospitality is the best on the island. Thanks Barry and Marta!

This was our second stay at Harbour Club and it was every bit as good as our first visit in late 2005. Marta and Barry are the most excellent hosts and couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Marta did some shopping for essentials for us (beers - the supermarkets are dry on Sundays ;) ) prior to our arrival and gave us a ride to / from the store to re-stock the fridge during our stay.

Harbour Club is well away from the main road, so the place is very quiet and peaceful. Usually the only noise you ever hear is from the occasional car on the dirt road at the bottom of the driveway

We had rented two units, one for ourselves and one for our US friends Jeff & Cheryll. Harbour Club has six identical villas available and each is very comfortable for two. However, this would also be a good choice for a family or a larger group. We originally chose the location based on a recommendation from Jayne & Mickey at Flamingo Divers (5 min easy walk around the dock). Each villa has a full kitchen, large living / dining area with additional fold-away bed, a separate queen bedroom and a bathroom with a decent shower. Outside there is a small shared pool and communal barbecue.

Several of the island's dive operators moor their boats in the marina just 200 yards from the villas - making this a great base for a dive trip. Our favourite has always been Flamingo Divers but you have plenty of choice if you can't get booked with Jayne and Mickey.

Provo is a large island given its population, so unless you intend fixing your own meals every night then you'll probably want to rent a car. If you do then avoid the airport rentals and go for one of the cheaper off-airport options. Taxis are OK for a night or two but beyond that they become very expensive.

I'm sure this wont be our last stay with Marta and Barry.

Words cannot express what an amazing experience Shandi and I had travelling to Turks and Caicos to be married. It was a very last minute decision and when I spoke to Marta on the phone I knew this was the place we wanted to stay. Marta was so helpful over the phone and when we arrived and she greeted us with her wonderful smile and a hug; we knew this was out home for 2 weeks.
Barry and Marta shared all the island secrets with us; the side roads to beaches, help arranging diving or other daily experiences and great restaurants. They seemed to always be there when we needed some help or just wanted some company, otherwise they seemed to know when we wanted some alone time. We had considered going to a resort but we were so happy that we did not. At the villa we had some privacy, Marta come in daily to tidy up the villa and daily she dropped off flesh flowers, we bought groceries and each day we would make a wonderful lunch to take with us and nightly we enjoyed dinner at the villa at the bbq by the pool or dinner out (it was nice to have a choice).
For our wedding Marta was amazing and her kindness will NEVER be forgotten. She really went above and beyond helping us that day. She was an angel.
When we arrived back in Canada our life had changed, we were married and we had a new outlook on life thanks to our experience on the Turks and our time with Barry and Marta.
We are already trying to plan the next trip.

Stayed at the Harbour Club Villas for the first time in June. What a wonderful spot. Clean accommodations. Perfect location for those who wish to dive on the south side of Provo. Spotless grounds. Easy to find from airport. Greeted promptly when we arrived. Our villa was spotless and while the entire villa was not air conditioned, the trade winds, louvered windows and lcoation of the villa (high on a hill) kept our villa cool and comfortable. Barry and Marta were wonderful hosts and saw to our every need.

My husband and I were traveling with friends who had stayed there before, so we were pretty confident that we would have a pleasant stay, but "pleasant" doesn't do it justice. Upon our arrival, we were greeted so warmly by Barry and Marta that we felt like we were being welcomed by family, and by the end of our stay, we definitely felt like we were saying goodby to family. Barry and Marta are the perfect hosts. The villas are wonderfully spacious and comfortable and are spotlessly clean and well kept. This is one of the few dive trips we have been on where we really enjoyed spending some lazy afternoon time in our room. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and dishes you need to prepare meals or cook out on their gas grill. They have truly thought of everything you need for your tropical "home away from home". Harbour Club Villas are definitely a place we hope to return to.
