“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

My husband and I just got back from Turks and Caicos. We stayed at the beautiful Grace bay club and loved every minute of it. When we arrived we were greeted by our own personal concierge named Berg who was super sweet, professional and assurred us that he would be there to help us with whatever we needed throughout our stay. We knew we were in good hands. He made our stay easy, enjoyable and relaxing. We didn't have to worry about a thing besides enjoying ourselves. He was the best! All of the staff at the hotel were friendly, warm, welcoming, accomodating and professional. The beach was breath taking and the perfect spot for a gorgeous sunset. Breakfast was included daily and the food was spectacular. The Grace Bay Club was a wonderful vacation spot and we can't wait to go back and visit!

We didn't stay at the Grace Bay Club but we did walk down the beach to have a drink at the Infinity Bar. It is a beautiful setting right on the beach with a perfect view of the setting sun. Great drinks, and in a resort area where everything is extra they actually give free snacks, which is just plain We also had lunch at the Grill and all enjoyed our meals. We will definatly go back. We like the options more than our resort.

The property, the room, the common spaces and the staff are incredible. The whole experience was a delight and worth every penny. Thoughtful attention to detail is everywhere, from the soothing ringtone when being phoned with restaurant reservation updates by our personal concierge to the view of the blue ocean and white sand from the bathtub. Superb. We'll be back.

We have had several stays at the GBC and each one gets better.. The beach is spectacular and the hotel is simply gorgeous - relaxed and luxurious but understated and never crowded or busy feeling - even when fully booked. We were upgraded to a penthouse and it was extraordinary!
We stay in the villas and enjoy the convenience of the kitchen. The local market is a quick bike ride a way so after a long day of sun it is easy to stay in for dinner and relax over looking the ocean. But the food is very good at the resort, and there are many fun spots to eat near by as well.
This is our favorite place to stay, not only because it is beautiful but because the people who work at the GBC are so special. We go back each year and are remembered by everyone - this is truly an exceptional aspect of the resort. You will find the staff to be attentive, warm and genuine in their interest to help - without being overly intrusive. From start to end, we feel warmly welcomed and treated like royalty. At the airport, a wonderful gentleman (Levaurd?) worked hard to correct a mistake in our transfer arrangements. The hotel had made an error and was quick to take responsibility, correct it, and strike the expense from our bill. Vernon and Willah are always exceptional as concierges (a very nice service!) Jerry and Kendalle at the beach are wonderful and always ready to lend a hand. Ben was at the pool keeping my kids in the shade and making sure they always had towels and chairs. Pauline makes the MOST perfect pina colada and Shirlee the perfect omelet every time! We cant say enough about Margaret who works with the Kids Club - our kids are too old now but she always remembers them with a big smile and a hug.
What is important is that service at GBC is warm, personalized and attentive in a way that feels so comfortable and relaxed. We have made special mention of a few, but their style is consistent in all the people who work at the resort. We will return, as always, next winter and we are looking forward to it already.

Room Tip: the higher the better for spectacular views but walk out from first level is terrific with small chi...

We visited November and December with our family to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday. We have stayed at the hotel before and it feels like home now. The staff as always so friendly and helpful, food really good and location outstanding. It really is the most beautiful beach, the sea is safe and clear and warm. The hotel did everything for us to make our trip special. I would like to mention Leola in Grill Rouge, she knows what you want before you do! Shirleen the best eggs benedict. Cordell runs an excellent pool and beach area assisted by Belen and Emmanuel. Ajay found the pink sparkling wine we wanted for the party and organised so many things for us. Thank you all a great trip.

Room Tip: If you do not have young children (only because my son would have tried to jump over the balcony whe...

Unfortunately had a disappointing experience here on our honeymoon last year. First, we were put into the Grace Bay Estates (not the hotel), which felt less like a 5-star resort and more like an apartment complex (an upscale apartment complex). The Estates are away from the main property, so we felt like we spent a lot of time walking back & forth if we wanted to use any of the services. I would have been less concerned with this aspect in the $500/night range, but GBC prices their rooms at the premium end of the spectrum.

My main issues began with the treatment guests in conjunction with a rather large wedding that was taking place on property (ironic, huh? I guess I had enough of weddings by that point), which normally I would be fine with. There were 2 key problems...1) the wedding was on the beach. In late afternoon, staff (rather rudely) started clearing out the beach to set up the wedding. I certainly thought I was in the twilight zone when i was not so subtly pushed off of the beach when there was still an hour+ of sun left. For weary sun-seekers, every hour counts. I find this entirely unacceptable to inconvenience the many for the few.

To add insult to injury, the resort rents out the courtyard in the Estates for parties, which happened to be right above my window. My wife and I had an early wake up call for an excursion, but I surely thought the resort would not let the blaring speakers go much beyond 10pm. That is what I get for assuming. I called down to ask when the party would be over, and conveyed my frustration, but the front-desk rep seemed perplexed and had no answer or solution, and was almost surprised that I was frustrated. By 12:30, the music & loud conversations had finally started to wane.

So, not my idea of a relaxing honeymoon.

On the bright side, the beach is amazing, food was pretty good, and the pools here are exceptional. But given the disregard for guest comfort in search for lucrative wedding/event fees, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to relay your thoughts on your visit to Grace Bay Club. Every guest’s experience is important to us as we strive for the finest in service and facilities.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us last year.

We were very surprised by your comments regarding the Estates. This is the first time any guest has ever complained about the proximity of the Estates to our outlets and services on property. The Estates has its own lobby, restaurant, pool and beach access. The main bar is only 500 feet away and the breakfast buffet at the Grill is 900 feet away. However, guests staying at the Estates have complimentary room service for breakfast available to them.

As it relates to the wedding which took place during your stay, of the 1200 feet beach frontage, our set-up for weddings occupies approximately 60 feet. We never ask our guest to move when setting up for weddings and do our best not to disturb them but usually our guests do not mind moving 10 to 20 feet to allow a bride and groom to get married. I am very sorry if this was not handled properly.

We always inform our guests of all weddings and other events taking place on property. You, like all of our guests, were informed of the wedding ceremony and reception by way of a letter placed in your suite the night prior to the event. We end all functions and music promptly at 11:00P.M. We do not waver on our policy in this regard and the wedding you mentioned did end at 11:00P.M.

Our managers are always available to assist our guests with any concerns and we encourage our guests to communicate any issues they have with management. We always do our best to address those issues and ensure all of our guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay with us.

Thoughtful feedback is a gift and we thank you for your input. We value you as a guest and welcome the opportunity to serve you again.

Warm regards,

Thierry Grandsire

This was our second trip to Turks and Caicos and our second stay at The Grace Bay Club. We would not consider staying anywhere else. The resort has a top-notch location on the beach, with top-notch accommodations and top-notch service; need I say anything more? After posting a picture on Facebook, my friends asked "Where are all the people?" Another reason we love the location! We stayed in the adult hotel area with our own pool/beach area and you never have to worry about getting a lounge chair by the pool or at the beach. We loved the fact that once we arrived, we don't have to worry about a thing. Anything we needed we simply picked up our cell (which Grace Bay provided) called our personal concierge team of Jasime and Franklyn who handled all the details with the upmost professionalism. They took care of every detail with a smile on their faces. They are a huge reason we will be returning next March for another week.
