“Great pristine vacation!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We just got back from our third trip to Turks. This was our second time staying at Coral Gardens and once before we stayed at The Sands at Grace Bay. Coral Gardens is a small boutique resort that has really spacious rooms and a great reef right outside your doors. We were a little disappointed because our room, although clean and nicely appointed, had two broken AC units and a broken microwave. The management was wonderful and prompt and attempted to fix the AC units almost every day we were there. Just slightly annoying that there were work crews in our room 5 out of the 8 days we were there. The pools are very small and the water does not circulate well in them so there is constant flotsam floating on top. However, we did not use the pools often because the water and beach are much better than any pool! The restaurant on the premises, Somewhere, has good food and nice daily specials, including some nightly entertainment. One other note... the first night we arrived, they put us up in the "White House" since our room was not available until the next day. Although this room is very spacious (three bedrooms and three baths), it is in some serious need of renovation. The walls must be spackled and repainted in order for anyone to feel as though they are on vacation! Lastly, we felt very safe while vacationing at this hotel (and anywhere on Grace Bay!)

Room Tip: We stayed in a two bedroom that could easily accommodate 6 people comfortably (two in each bedroom a...

Once you arrive at this hotel you may expect a fresh hand towel or a glass of water. The only problem is that the reception is always unattended. At check -in and again at check -out you literally have to wait for somebody at front desk to show-up.
The manager ,Matthew is unreliable . Mixed feelings about this hotel. Not sure if I am interested to return again...

We really enjoyed our first visit to Provo and our stay at Coral Gardens. We upgraded to better room after our first night and were very pleased. Matthew the manager was very helpful. The location is great, especially for first time visitors. It is in the center of Grace Bay so it is convenient to different ends of the island. The snorkeling was good and right off the beach. Jerome on the beach is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed having Somewhere Cafe on property, but you probably need to rent a car if you stay there. We did a snorkel trip and they picked us up right off the beach. Overall a wonderful stay-we hope to return!

The friendly reception from Robin got us off to a great start!! They upgraded us to and ocean view suite with no additional expense. Our suite was beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Grounds and housekeeping staff were hardworking, attentive and friendly. We especially liked greeting Jerome on the beach each morning when we arrived for our morning swim. We were located directly in front of a coral reef where other vacationers on the island traveled to for scuba diving and snorkeling. The smell of the sea breeze and the food from Somewhere Cafe (on the premesis), combined with the live music from the cafe created an incredibly relaxing environment to vacation. This location was perfect as it was centrally located along Grace bay for a short travel to other scenic locations, restaurants, shopping and the ferry to the other islands. Evening walks along Grace Bay finished the day with spectacular sunsets that we will never forget.

Room Tip: Ocean view suites are the best!! We were upgraded from a garden view room to and ocean view suite...

We rented a 3 bedroom house on the property for a family reunion and couldn't have been happier. Steps from a beautiful fresh water swimming pool and a few more steps to one of the most beautiful beaches on the caribbean. You don't have to leave - you can snorkel, dive, parasail, charter a boat and it's all right in front of you. You can walk down the beach which is a short way to a restaurant that will serve you on white tablecloths on the beach while the sun is setting, or the other way to a local fish fry with live music and vendors selling wonderful local food. The rooms are clean and kept that way by friendly, unobtrusive staff. We liked the fact that you can cook if you want to - grocery store is within walking distance - but there is also a wonderful restaurant on the property that has a great bar and wonderful food - so much better than all-inclusive food. It really doesn't get much better than this!
I highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner suite in the front - stunning views and you can open the sliding glass doors to...

If you love snorkeling, look no further. Coral Gardens is mere steps from the best snorkeling on Provo. Other resorts don't have much reef access - they send their people to the Coral Gardens, because it's clearly the best. If you want to walk a mile or so or drive to a snorkel spot, stay elsewhere. If you want to walk right from your unit to the reef, stay at Coral Gardens. Most days the water was relatively calm, makiing for very clear water conditions. You can stay close to shore or head out farther to see large schools of fish. There is also great swimming there too.

The staff at Coral Gardens are all about making sure you have enjoyable stay, acting as concierge for all your desires. Matthew, Robin, Raul and Gerome were outstanding during our entire stay. They were all wonderful.

We had a thrid floor 1 bedroom with a fantastic view, for not much more money that a garden view studio at some other places. After searching around a lot, this was unquestionably the best value on Grace Bay. The 4 sliding glass doors all moved back for a beautiful full wall view. The room had everything we could want including a very comforatbale king bed, 1.5 baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat screen TV's with cable TV, large balcony, wireless internet, black out curtains, IPOD dock station, full kitchen with ice maker, 4 snorkel sets with fins, etc etc.etc. They really have anticipated our every need.

Another great thing about Coral Gardens is having a great restaraunt right on site. Somewhere is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late night drink. You can eat on the beach and charge it to your room, so no need to carry cash.

Very nice little hotel, the rooms are very clean and our had a great view, it would seem that most do. There is a restaurant and bar right on the beach which serves good food, but I may not be a good judge of that since I could care less for the food when on vacation, I am there for the sand and the water after all. The beach is to die for, we rented a car for the whole week and traveled all over the island, people are friendly and we never felt unsafe. It was a bit difficult to get used to driving on the left hand side of the road but "when in Rome"... Great place to visit, wish I could live there!
