“Yum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Great whole fish dinner. Nice location even though a little hard to find. This really feels like a local place because it is not like most of the restaurants on Provo. Right on the beach. Great for lunch. Takes a little while to get your food, but what is the hurry? You are in paradise. Why rush it?

“food was good...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

but i got sick that night. not sure it was from the food here. had ribs and fish. everything tasted good to me. wife said ribs tasted a little "funky". she ate on rib, i ate three. i got sick, she did not, so i cannot say that was cause of illness. nice spot on the beach. very casual.

“Great lunch and awesome view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We stumbled upon this restaurant while taking a long walk along the beach. We were staying at the Beaches Resort (sorry...have kids and they love the place, happy kids = happy parents). After walking for close to an hour we wanted a nice cold drink and a seat in a shade. There were lots of places along the way, at the condo hotels, but when we saw the cafe, we thought it was a perfect place...right on the beach, with a million dollar view ! The cafe shows signs of wear and tear, but the food and service is very good. Our server, Peter was friendly and answered our questions re: items on the menu. One of our son’s had jerk chicken, which he said was yummy, the other one had a burger - good size and very tasty. I had conch fritters - delicious and my husband really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. The food is simple, but tasty, portions are a good size and can’t beat the price on Provo. Every time we visit Provo, we make a trek from Beaches to the Cafe. We really like the atmosphere. The tasty food and an absolutely gorgeous view make this a great place to grab a bite and relax. We’ll definitely go back.

“Delicious Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Walked down beach from our hotel for lunch to Flamingo Cafe. Barefoot, shirtless, sunglasses right on the beach (my wife wasn't shirtless), we ordered and waited. And waited....until I thought maybe this place was the wrong choice. Then came the food. HANDS DOWN THE FRESHEST, BEST PREPARED AND TASTIEST FOOD WE HAD WHILE IN PROVO. My wife had the grilled grouper and I had the curried grouper. We cleaned our plates in a hurry. Every eatery serves grouper, but none comes close to preparing it as well as Flamingo. Perfect lunch spot.

“Combination of value and view in Grace Bay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We ended up eating at this casual open air beachfront restaurant several times during our weeklong stay in Provo. Most restaurants in the area are wildly expensive; this is the only restaurant on the beach in Grace Bay area that we could find that had good prices and an authentic local feel. There did seem to be some variability in quality - e.g. fish was excellent one night and just good another day, one rum punch was delightfully strong, while the second was much weaker. Overall though, we left feeling very relaxed, and happy with the experience at this restaurant.
