“Planned our trip back before we left!”

This hotel is fantastic. It's a real boutique gem. The Gansevoort is right next door if you want to pop over for a $15 cocktail and party atmosphere - but that's not why we picked West Bay. From the rum punch at check-in, to the beautiful beach, the attentive staff, great food and good company - this place has won a special place in my heart.

We spent equal time by the pool and at the beach - there were a few kids around but overrall very quiet. The reggae beats from the bar gently in the background and a book by the pool = perfection. The bartender made great drinks (excellent margaritas) - and every morning Antoinette made our breakfast that much more enjoyable! We're going back in November for thanksgiving and we can't wait!

No beach in the Caribbean can beat Turks and Caicos! T&C set the bar for best beaches in the world! We've been to many islands but T & C is the best by far!
West Bay Club was perfect for a nice relaxing and quiet getaway! The staff were friendly and very helpful! Front desk was great and let us borrow his cell phone when we walked to the nearby store just in case we needed help or got lost. We had one of the best condo suite on the 4th floor! Wow! Magnificent! I think it was apx. 1600 sq ft!
Loved everything about WBC and definitely would come back and stay here again...never crowded. Other resorts were jammed pack of people. Food was expensive in the Caribbean but that's too be expected 'cuz everything is imported. We loved it here!

Ok. It's difficult to rate all the components of the resort 5's, but give the overall rating as a 4. My wife and I are having trouble explaining it, but we'll try.

The Plaza Hotel in New York is a 5.
The Hay Adams in Washington DC is a 5.
The St. James Hotel in Montreal is a 5.

This is just a different experience where The WBC has all the components of a wonderful property but can't really be in the same league as the finest hotels of the world.

That being said, it is very clean, the beach is fantastic, the staff could not be nicer, it is a great value, etc etc...AND most importantly, we can't wait to come back.

This is our type of property. A little off the main strip, a little quieter than the rowdy resorts, a general manger that is very engaged with your satisfaction, and a staff that smiles and wants to be here.

it does not have 24 hour room service, nightly turndown, a $5 million spa, shoe shine and pressing services, etc etc that would put it in the league of a Plaza Hotel, but it's not intended to really be that kind of property.

The WBC is not in walking distance of really anything (except some other resorts) but the Hertz rental car is working out just fine. Everything is really a 10 minute drive away and the road system is generally easy to navigate. Have a map, however as it will help keep you where you need to be. Even driving on the left side of the road came easily, although it is different and there are lots of traffic circles.

The WBC is located next to the Gansevroot, and the differences are clear. WBC is much lower key. The Gvt felt like we were in South Beach. Thumping music. Hip pool. Glass. Contemporary. The WBC is more West Indies style, low key pool, quieter crowd, comfortable living, for those that wish to relax more than being "seen." If you wish to have a little taste of that scene, then just walk next door and have a drink. After you get it out of your system, come back to the WBC, step out on your balcony and listen to the waves while the sun sets.

It is easy to be connected here. The WiFi has been excellent. There is cable tv (although we have yet to turn it on,) and the cellphone signal is strong. Make sure you have a GSM enabled phone or it won't work in the Turks.

Anyway, I'm going back to my book. Enjoy your stay at the WBC, and tell Dane the GM that you enjoyed reading all the great reviews!

Without going into detail, let's just say, West Bay Club is heaven on earth. Number one happiness was, the one bedroom luxury unit 407 was VERY quiet and peaceful. The bed was welcoming and very comfortable, the bathroom was very elegant and the kitchen had everything we needed. The furniture for viewing the flat screen TV was very comfortable! A quick drive to the super market and we were set for the week! The hotel is well cared for and on the quiet end of awesome Grace Bay Beach. My husband and I loved every minute of our stay!

West Bay Club has a great location; grocery shopping and many, many restaurants are withing a 5-10 minute drive. Our beach-view unit and spacious balcony were perfect. We especially enjoyed the not-so-crowed beach, which would not be possible at the larger resorts. The beach staff was outstanding: attentive, polite and helpful. We were won over by the daily delivery of complementary cold water bottles and watermelon slices to our beach chairs. We were also impressed that West Bay Club offered the free use of kayaks and snorkel equipment. We would definitely recommend West Bay Club and would stay there again on future visits to Turks and Caicos.

I felt as though we had our own private beach and pool. The staff was friendly too! Although a short distance away from the 'nightlife', it was worth it for privacy!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2010

Just returned from an 8 night stay at the West Bay Club with my husband, two children and mother-in-law. We loved it. It was exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms are very large. The kitchen fully equipted. The views are amazing. The beach is beautiful and was never busy. Every morning we enjoyed the complementary breakfast. It was always more than we needed...muffins, bagels, sausage, cereal, banana bread, fruit, and made to order eggs. Each day the guys on the beach would have our five chairs waiting for us with towels and umbrellas. They would get anything we asked for. They even supplied us with complementary water and brought around a tray of watermelon to enjoy. It was so nice being on a beach that was not crowded...especially over "Spring Break." The pool is small but never busy. My kids loved it and most of the time had the entire pool to themselves. If you are looking for a busy place, lots of people, parties, crowded swim up bars, etc. etc., this is not the place for you. If you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, you will love it.
I would HIGHLY recommend renting a car if you stay here. It is too far to walk to most of the restaurants and you would miss out on so many things. We loved having the freedom to explore the island and come and go as we please. We rented from Grace Bay Car rentals...they were awesome. They brought the car to the hotel and picked it up for us...how easy is that. If you stay here, I would do your own research on where you want to eat and what you want to do for the week. The girls at the front desk will make reservations for you but there really isn't a "concierge" service. Finally, I read a lot of reviews where people complained about slow service here and at other places on the island. We just called it "island" time. You just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the views.
We hope to return in the future!!!!!
