We came last year and liked it and my son was begging to return. To be honest I was a bit apprehensive based on some of the owner's outrageous responses to reviews below but the four of us returned last night and had a very good meal.
The welcome from the hostess was chilly at best but the local waitstaff were excellent: friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant was not very busy, so we got a nice open air table.
The bread and marinara are a nice complimentary treat and the fresh herbs in the sauce really brought a freshness to what is often an uninspired dish.
The menu has all of the traditional Italian favourites but they have wisely included a lot of seafood dishes to take advantage of what can be sourced locally. 3 of us had different seafood dishes and they were all very well prepared. The pasta side with garlic was excellent, with the tell tale thinly sliced garlic cloves that to me indicate a chef that respects Italian cooking. A simple ravioli dish was also well done. Not sure that the pasta was fresh but frankly that is often overrated anyway. I will take properly cooked good dried pasta over fresh poorly prepared any day and Bella Luna got all of the pasta dishes just right.
Portions are generous, the way an Italian mother would lovingly serve, so we had no room for dessert. A banana caramel creation sounded fantastic but we just couldn't do it.
I will not comment on prices, we are in Turks after all ;)
We will be back in Turks again next year and look forward to another very good meal at Bella Luna.

We feel that Trip Advisor is very one sided and people can write almost anything they want whether it is true or not! So we feel it is our privilege to set some people straight! Not every one that goes out to dine is happy, courteous and polite. We take pride in what we do, the product we serve and our service. Every one will have bad nights, you have staff that doesn't show up, tables that come late and the problems go on and on. Usually speaking for almost all of the restaurants on island, we all do try our hardest to go a good job. Christmas through New Years is by far the busiest two weeks of the year and everyone is just trying to get through it with making as many people happy as we can, so if I choose to right comments you feel are outrageous, put yourself in my shoes. I am really happy you came in and you enjoyed your meal . Your review is beautifully written and I am proud that you enjoyed you meal so much, and please give your son a special thanks from me!
