“Nice beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

The beach right at the port is nice to get photographs in the water with the ship behind you but that's it! The margaritaville is nasty!

“fair enough fro a tourist trap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We came here with a metal cruise (70000tons.com), so had a chance to evaluate from a slightly different point of view. People were very friendly, food ok (why they have to fry everyting?) and beach superb. We went for a buggy ride and this proved to be a key decision. You can see ALL the island (7x3km) in just 2 hours and also have lots of fun driving there. Lighthouse is a must, but it's not all you can find there. There are wild animals (cows, donkeys, horses...) roaming all the area, old U.S, base and also some good looking tourist gift shops outside the cruise area.

“Nice for a couple hours but nothing great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

There were no excursions with good reviews, so we took advice of others online. We got off the ship and turned right. Rocky beach but nobody was there. Very quiet. Son and husband walked to the point and got three big conch shells. Later they went swimming on the other side, to the left as you walk off the ship, but not for that long. We loved the Carnival Breeze and wanted to be back on board.
We don't find shopping a fun thing to do on vacation.
Basically this seems like a stop that used to be an empty plot of land that was all just developed for people visiting on cruises.

“I Love Grand Turk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

We have taken three cruises that have gone to Grand Turk. One right after a hurricane sat over the Island for days. We fell in Love with the People, beaches and the Light House. We took a tour of Grand Turk to get a feel for the Island the first time. After that we have gone and snorkled at the beautiful beaches in the area. The beaches are beautiful and great snorkling. Going to the Lighthouse is a must do while in Grand Turk.

The Cruise ships come into a very nice/clean terminal with nice shops. Even if you don't want to take a day trip or go onto the beach, it is worth getting off the ship.

“cruise port”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Grand Turk happens to be a very nice port to stop in. There was no charge to use their facilites and beach chairs. Pretty Beach, loads of chairs and a cute little Margaritaville serving drinks on the beach! Pina Colada was very good.!!! Plenty of souvenir shops. Water is cold in the winter months unless your are European but still beautiful weather to soak up the rays!
