“Can it have got worse?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

5 years ago I wrote this about the waitress at Rituals - " Not just sullen or rude but both in perfect balance together with a healthy dose of disinterest.  Our orders were brought out in a completely haphazard way.  First a coffee for one person, then a juice for someone else, then a panini for someone else.  We ordered a double Espresso and two Americano’s.  We got a single Espresso and one Americano.  At least she was consistent.  I eventually got my club sandwich when everyone had finished their meals.  As with most of the waitresses we met she became a lot more attentive when it became time to pay the bill."
Things have not improved. This time we only wanted two coffees. We sat down and waited for over 10 minutes before we could get anyone to take our order. The waitress wrote down our order for two lattes on her pad. 45 minutes later we were still waiting so I went to investigate - no sign of our order. It is not just that the staff are inefficient but the way they deal with the customers as if they are to be endured rather than interacted with. There were no smiles, conversation or helpful suggestions. I shall still go there because the coffee is good, but only for take-aways.

“****Horrible Service***”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

Took 20 mins for a bottle of water, which we ended up getting on our own and people who were seated after us got their before us. On top of that they automatically add 10% service charge to all dine in customers. ****AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE****

“Best coffee in T&T”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Rituals Coffeew SHop crown Point Tobago is close by the airport - and a great place to start the day with a beautiful breakfast if you are waiting you flight to Trinidad.

Miss Antwine is the boss, and very friendly, welcoming with smiles and wonderful service. Anushya is the petite shy waitress who is fantastic, prompt and helpful.

The latte is to die for - best for miles around (hundereds may be more).
The best breakfast is De Trini, with saltfish buljol, scrambled eggs, French toast with cinnamon.

this is a real find, and above the normal take-it-or-leave-it standards for this restaurant chain of coffee houses. It really does stand out form the crowd and deserves a special mention and recognition from within the chain.

Superb value for money, and simply one of the friendliest, most unexp[ectedly welcoming places on this gorgeous island..

Thank you.
