/We just got back from 2 nights stay at Lesville Guesthouse in Tobago. Upon arrival, the owner's son drove us so we could rent a car and guided us back home and was very helpful and we appreciate that. We stayed in the guest's home in a room with 2 bedrooms. Room 1 had a double bed (for 2) was airconditioned with microwave, small fridge, sink, kettle, shower and toilet and ceiling fan, tv, cutlery. Room 2 was not airconditioned but had fan (very hot at nights) with 1 double bed (2) the mattress was on slots of wood which made for the worse 2 nights sleep I have ever had! After investigating I realized the rib poking was from the wooden slabs that the foam mattress rested on. This was the only low point of my 2 1/2 days there....I could not sleep!!Room 2 had a single bed as well, place to hang clothes and drawers for storing clothes. Entire place was clean, bug free and was properly maintained, except for the horrible rib poking wood slabs that was underneath the foam mattress. Location to beach: you need a car to get to Store Bay etc. If you are a driver this is a good location because it is in residential area, if you dont drive, find someplace close to Store Bay, and save the $350 TTD a day to rent a car!!! Tobago itself is heaven and even 2 sleepless nights could not deter from that! Mt. Irvine beach is the best ever. Visit Fort George. Bring your water shoes for the trip to Buccoo Reef - the corral is a killer on your feet!!..if you snorkel bring your own goggles & mouthpiece as well. Nylon pool is stop #2 and it is absolutely beautiful. Use sunblock for this trip...I have quite a burn on my back and I used sunblock! Boat tripto Nylon pool, Buccoo Reef can be arranged by going to Store Bay--the going price was 50 TTD a person. Food at the vendors at Store Bay is a major expense even with conversion! Changing your money: dont do it at the airport folks..they rip us off...by charging 10 or 20% for us to cash our money. Go to the bank in either Trinidad or Tobago and cash your money..I warned you! Enjoy Trinidad and Tobago.......be wise and be aware of your surroundings..we saw pickpockters galore in Port of Spain while waiting for local transport..........Enjoy your vacation..we all did!
