“Poor service, some good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2011

The service at Tiki Village is downright atrocious. One has to practically wave one's hands and jump up and down to be noticed. Sit where you like because you won't be shown to your seat and no-one cares where you sit. Some of the food is good and the Sunday Dim Sum is very good, but otherwise it is just average

“Very tasty Polynesian food - great view and consistent standard.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2011

Hello - this is definitely one of my absolute favorite restaurants over the years. The standard has remained consistently high. Michael, the manager, and the servers are all very friendly and professional. Very wide menu. My all time favorites are the Polynesian platter for appetizer and then the sweet and sour shrimp is the best!! The Tiki Village fried rice and the Singapore noodles are great. And the Mongolian beef is tops. My only complaint, which I have communicated to the staff - is that the desserts are sometimes a letdown. The restaurant is on the eight floor of the Kapok Hotel close to the savannah - so there are beautiful views through the lightly tinted glass walls. There is a dress code, so casual but nice is preferred. Personally, I would have placed this restaurant in the top five in Trinidad.
