I did not feel the excitement that should come with trying out new restaurant. First of all, the layout of the restaurant was open and airy, not too cozy. We visited on Easter Monday for a birthday celebration. Having a hotel membership card made the price of dining a little easier on the pocket. Membership also enhanced the birthday experience with a huge piece of birthday cake.
There was a fair selection of salads, cold items ( couscous with grilled shrimp, pasta salad, roasted vegetables ), corn soup, variety of breads. The hot items consisted of Trini fare ( roti, curried fish, callaloo etc). The callaloo was excellent. The dessert cart offered crème caramel ( delicious ), easter cookies, mille feuille, roulade, fruit salad and eclairs.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I would like to try the dinner buffet, maybe it'll thrill me.
