“Peaceful Afternoon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

My boyfriend and I hired a driver for the day and he stopped here to let us walk around and take in the sight. Many locals were there playing soccer. Great views of the hillside. Several vendors around the park selling fruit and snacks. If you just want a mellow afternoon, this is a great place. If you have young children that need a safe place to run around for an afternoon while you are visiting, this is definitely the place to go. (Pack some food and a blanket and make a day of it)

“Coconuts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

Went there late night to a coconut wagon. We all bought coconuts, the vendor cut the end off for us to drink the coconut water. After finishing that he cut them open so we could eat the coconut jelly.....not a fan of the jelly. Nice place to stop and relax.

If you want to understand the history and culture of Trinidad you quite simply, must visit Queen's Park Savannah. Make sure a local takes you to explain the buildings, the history, Carnival and all that goes on there.

“Very Good For Jogging”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

The circumference is about 2.2 miles and is excellent for an early morning or late evening jog. The only problem is that near to Memorial Park there are eating booths such that in the vicinity there can be garbage which detracts from the ambience.Nevertheless, the savannah is huge and one can always find a suitable location for a stroll or a picnic. It is recommended that you visit only when and where there are other people around.

“Lovely walk....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

We walked around the Savannah and loved seeing the trees out in flower - Poui, Flame Tree etc.. Plus walking by the buildings known as the magnificent seven - some are in the process of being restored which is really nice to see. You can imagine the Savannah at Carnival time - filled with people and colour.
