“A little bit of history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Worth going, loved the great views, very well kept gardens with all trees and plants labelled, and some interesting history to be learned.

“Bring back the Pirates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

If you want to get the feeling of what it was in days gone by in the times where people on an island saw pirate ships on the horizon. This is the place , I have visited many forts on this island as well as other islands in the Caribbean and this is one of the best, the visitors center is very informative , there is a fully functional Light house on the site and many cannons which gives you the feeling of what it would have felt like in the days of the pirates.

“Quaint and picturesque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We visited at Carnival time and were treated to the sounds of a tambrin band. We also saw the gentlemen in top hats and tails dancing the reel and jig with the belles of the ball. The spectacular view of the coast from the hill is breath-taking. There are many fascinating craft items for sale in the shaded area of the lighthouse. It was amazing to be able to walk about the structures built centuries ago that have withstood the ravages of war and time. It's great for having a picnic.

“Fascinating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Having read a bit of the history of the islands, the rather chaotic little museum collection was fascinating in parts, but the Fort is a missed opportunity for Tobago's tourism. The hilltop site and views are crying out for a proper museum that gives visitors an understanding of the Fort and the island's history and significance - and a cafe.

“A quick look”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

This can take as little or as much time as you want but I made it quick. It is a great look out point to look down the coast and there are signs to explain the history behind it. The grounds are very well kept and you will even find a guy with a guitar who will sing about you and he only wants "one blue one" which is 100 dollars TT or about 15 US. I gave him 5 because I got a kick out of him.
