This restaurant is located (as the name suggests) inside part of the Oval Cricket Ground. It occupies a large rather impersonal space, which, (to quote a friend) is a 'barn like place'. This is true, the decor is rather dull, but the service is impeccable.
The food prepared by Chef Jason Huggins is innovative and delicious. Very cleverly, Jaffa are offering some very reasonable deals to beat the recession. They offer an early buffet supper on a Friday, with three courses and a glass of wine, for around $135 (TT) and also have a Tapas Menu. This is not the place for a romantic meal for two, (Chaud is the place for that), however there is an imaginative and comprehensive wine list (ask for Karlene, the wine steward to help you) and a wide selection of interesting food on the menu to tempt the palate.
