“Nice Atmosphere, Slow Service, Ok Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

Paprika is almost worth visiting just for the interesting and charming interior. The menu is very expensive for what you get, but the food is decent and overall I had a nice time here with my spouse and colleagues from work. I did not, however, return since I thought there were better restaurants in Port of Spain.

“Food and atmosphere”

On the upscale side. Edgy decor and great atmosphere and set up. Nice selection of wines and food is good too!

“Bad everything!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

I've been to MANY restaurants in Trinidad and this was one of the worst! My friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday.. the waiter ignored us most of the time even when we made obvious jestures that we needed something.. Most of us ordered fish which was extremely salty.. the shrimp pasta however was quite good... The price was ridiculous (approx $400TT per person). The outdoor dining seemed nice, but was not available when we went... the indoor restaurant was awful.. the walls had decor from so many different cultures that it seemed overbearing and ugly.. the place was dark and gloomy with terrible colour schemes.. I can't see this restaurant being good for anything, unless you can dine outside, eat only pasta and have a fat wallet to pay the bill

“My favorite restaurant in Port of Spain"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2011

This is a very interesting, eclectic restaurant. The cuisine is "kind of" Meditranian/Eurpean, but with a "Trini" twist. An interesting menu concept is that you not only choose your entree (beef, pork, lamb, fish, etc), but then you choose your preparation/sauce.

“Terrible and expensive food !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2011

The food was extremely salty and was cold on arrival. I had cheese ravioli with seafood and my squid was spongy. A texture that should be associated with cake. The scallops tasted as if it was not defrosted properly. The drinks lacked alcohol and they did not have ingredients for basic cocktails. The bartender was courteous but the waiter was not as friendly. They also charged vat on the service charge which I noticed a lot of so called high end restaurants are doing. Definitely would not recommend to anyone.
