Never had a holiday as farsicle as this have travelled the world and this hotel is on my never to visit again list.
On arrival in the evening taken to our room.a delux garden villa!!!! and abandoned no resort map or instructions where to find anything( it was pitch dark) no air con working ceiling fan hanging on by a thread the plunge pools one was virtually empty and dirty the other was not very clear.did complain and it was partially rectified the next day.we had no sunbeds in front of our villa like the villas opposite so requested some and they were brought did not realise they would be temporary... Came back from a day trip and beds were gone!! Rang reception and lo and behold they were returned to be informed that they were needed on the beach!!!!!! The coffee machine in the room was a posh affair requiring special pods we had 6 pods on our arrival each pod makes one cup asked reception for more pods they said ring room service ...no pods forthcoming on other means of making drinks in room.the food left much to be desired waiting over an hour for main course in Jacks then cold on arrival,if you wasn't an early bird for breakfast some hot !! Food was not available ie scrambled eggs and so on.towels were in short supply had to drip dry on a speed boat trip as no towels I could carry on and say more but I think you get the gist.DO NOT EXPECT YOUR LUGGAGE TO ACCOMPANY YOU ON THE LIAT FLIGHT BACK TO BARBADOS we are still awaiting the return of ours.

This was my first experience with an all-inclusive, and it was well worth the money. We were there in february. The 2 unit bungalows were a nice surprise, and very well appointed. Sitting area, dining table, coffee/drink area, good size bedroom, walkin closet, and large bathroom with soaker tub and separate shower, add to the the deck and plunge pool for each unit. This alone was miles above a normal hotel room. The bedroom/bathroom was the only room with ac, but the island breeze and fans kept the other rooms nice.

Add to that the white sand beach, infinity pools right off the beach, wonderful food, and friendly helpful staff. The Bay beach club bar is open air as usual for an island restaurant, but was right next to the pools and beach to make beach/pool service very easy. Jack's steakhouse was very nice, fully air conditioned (so bring a light sweater), and everything was very well cooked. There were some reviews that said that some items are extra, but we didn't find anything that wasn't included. We didn't try the sushi, and never saw a menu for this, but was happy with the rest of the food. The Indian is very mild. Service may seem slow compared to US, but this is more in line with island time and the concept that they will not rush you like going to a 5 star restaurant. You can sit all night and no one will rush you out.

A couple of extras that I didn't expect, coupon for 2 one hour spa services, romantic dinner on the beach or in the wine room. For bungalows farther out, they offered golf cart pickup. Golf umbrellas in the room. Also they meet you right after you go through customs on st Vincent, and take care of everything from there on out.

We took advantage of the on-site dive shop, indigo dive, Kay and crew were great. If you ever wanted to spearfish lion fish, they do this to help keep down the invasive species from taking over the reef. Really good diving, and some of the greatest spots for sea horses were right around the corner.

Just returned from an amazing fun filled time at Buccament Bay. The villas are fabulously spacious and ideal for a family, allowing us all a little privacy. House keeping from Joyce was superb who always provided anything you ever asked for. Why moan about the mini bar not being re-stocked when a short walk from your villa every conceivable drink is available?

The pools are fabulous at fifty metres in length and plenty of space to relax, however the ludicrous habit of guests to reserving seating by the pool from 7am shouldn't be allowed, but hey it made us move to the beach which was actually a nicer place to be with such gorgeous views and fabulous attentive beach bar staff. Lionel and Brod being our favourites, always keeping us well stocked up with our Guava Cava's

The sushi Bar at lunch time was superb with amazing fresh platters made before our eyes. Alternatives for lunch was a buffet with freshly made BBQ serving meats and fish. Why wait for al la carte when fresh food is being prepared in front of you? Jacks for dinner served the ultimate steaks. We celebrated my birthday whilst there with a wonderful private dinner with our friends in the wine cellar. The most memorable birthday ever!
HQ was a fantastic alternative for breakfast for great smoothies, coffee's etc. along with delicious cakes and pastries as well as serving crepes and ice creams throughout the day which were enjoyed by all.

Having Pat Cash, Warren Gatland Kel, Rob, Charlotte and all the other pro sports coaches on hand was the icing on the cake. Great to pick up a racquet after many years and to be coached by the best whilst having so much fun along the way. Fun filled times for teenagers to play rugby, football, tennis and yoga and a perfect way for them to make friends to hang out with.

The Friday night complimentary cruise was fantastic with a made to order sunset, with whales and dolphins swimming along side the boat.

Great diving and water sports were available from the beach. Take a glass bottom boat trip and go snorkelling.

The resort has undoubtedly been affected by the flooding but is striving to get back on top. There were those who seemed to thrive on complaining about trivial issues to which the staff always strived to resolve
One wonders just how these guests survive in normal day to day life.

Michael the resort manager was charming and efficient as was his front desk team. Diana and Alaska looked after our needs particularly well.

This is the Caribbean and things move at their pace. Let your hair down, chill out and just enjoy yourself as having travelled the world extensively including most of the Caribbean I can honestly say this is a truly wonderful relaxing place to stay.

The resort is superb.The rooms are well decorated,cozy and very clean.The food and beverage are very good,with good offers. Although it is all inclusive you don't have to line for food or drinks.The waiters at the swimming pool/beach are great. They offers and bring drinks all the time. One night We had dinner at Jack's and it was excellent gourmet food! The only problem of the resort is that are less chairs at the beach/swimming pool than needed. Something very easy to solve by the management.

Me And boyfriend stayed recently and spent 12 nights at Buccament Bay.

The holiday was fantastic. Hotel room was beautiful, the staff were the highlight of the trip with everyone doing what they can to make sure you were looked after and all were really friendly.
The cleaner was superb, hotel sporting facilities were brilliant and were able to spend 2 hours coaching with Patcash.
The 3 spa treatments, that we paid for inclusive of the entire price of the holiday, were again superb. My boyfriend had 3 massages and I had a massage, pedicure and manicure. You have the option to choose what you would like to have. You do need to make sure you book in advance to make sure you get a slot before your holiday is over.
Beachfront was stunning to look at and Jacks restaurant, where the majority of the evening meals are served, had a very upmarket interior.
My only 2 complaints would be
1) Food choice
It is evident the hotel doesn't have a great management team as the food choice is very limited with only 6 trays of food and the same each day. The BBQ wasn't running on the 1st 2 days we arrived and they ran out of bread on the 2nd day too. As the hotel filled with more guests, there seemed to be a bit more of a selection, however Jacks restaurant struggled to cope with the increase of guests and we spent 3 of the 12 evenings with over a 2 hour wait for food.
Although the selection wasn't amazing and the hotel is more like a 4 star than a 5, from reading the previous trip advisor reviews we knew what we were coming to and with such superb staff, sporting facilities I.e tennis courts and good size football pitch, including how stunning the resort and island are, we felt our money was well spent.
They also have canoes, snorkels, bat and balls, wind surfing equipment and small boats to take out during the day.
We even hired a car from one of the hotel staff members and drove to Dark view falls which was breath taking. It took us just over 1 hour to drive to the entire North West side of the island.

My biggest complaint overall would be the hotel guests staying at Buccament bay. I don't think we had 1 day where we couldn't sunbathe or get involved in any activities without hearing some one complaining and being rude to the fantastic, hard working members of staff.
The hotel really isn't that bad that they deserved to be attacked verbally by certain 'housewives' who really thought they deserved to be treated like Queen Sheiba because their child got a splinter in their foot along the pool side.
I've never been to a hotel and met/saw and heard such ridiculous complaints in all my life. Get a grip! Your on holiday, just enjoy it! Have a moan once and get over yourself. It's embarrassing that the majority of the complaints were coming from fellow English women who thought they were well above their stations.
It's easy to see the hotel has been affected financially by the floods but if your easy going, want a fun pack filled holiday and have read the reviews to know exactly what your paying for then there shouldn't be any problems.
With only a few let downs with the food selection and food service that can easily be corrected with better management of the hotel, it would make the place a 5 star.

Buccament Bay is a beach resort, offering wide range of sporting activities and catering particularly well for families. Stays are on an "All-inclusive" basis, with not only all drinks but also such delights as "free" ice cream on the beach. We stayed a week, celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and were almost the oldest guests. But this was not a problem and from the moment we were met at the airport we experienced a very high level of attention and service. Rooms (individual bungalow suites with a private terrace and plunge pool) were very comfortable - the only problem being a very haphazard degree of "housekeeping" . Sometimes towels were replaced, sometimes not; sometimes we had a sheet and a duvet cover, sometimes no sheet; tea bags and coffee sachets were seldom replenished despite many requests. The resort has a number of restaurants, but it is necessary to reserve a table early if you want a specific booking at a peak time. The food was good, with some of the best steaks I have had this side of Argentina. The house wines were also very acceptable - I particularly enjoyed the Oregon Pinot Noir. Service was a bit slow at times but not to the extent that we needed to complain. All the hotel staff were extremely polite and courteous, friendly rather than submissive. Invariably they would greet us with a warm smile whenever we met. Lounging on the beach was very relaxing, watching Frigate birds, and Brown Boobies overhead with Egrets and Herons in the grounds. Several excursions are possible, although many guests seemed to stay on site for their whole stay, making use of the many facilities included in the package. The complimentary " sunset cruise" was particularly enjoyable - lots of rum punches, good sightings of pilot whales and spotted dolphins, and a good sunset to boot. I walked around the nearby village and was greeted with smiles by all the local people. We took a taxi into Kingstown on market day and despite seeing no other tourists we never felt in any way unsafe or threatened. We do not drink much, and are too old for some of the rugger coaching(!) so probably did not get as good value from the all-inclusive tariff as did some of the other guests. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the resort - especially if some of the service issues can be resolved

My new husband and I stayed here in April 2013 for our honeymoon. Our flights from Gatwick to Barbados with Virgin Airlines were good but we were then held up waiting for our connecting flight to St Vincent which was around 2 hours delayed. When we finally got to St Vincent, we were taken to resort and greeted with a cocktail and taken to our villa. A member of staff showed us around and explained how everything worked including making reservations for restaurants etc. Our villa was large and spacious with huge bed, plunge pool and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was good each morning and was just a short wall across the bridge. We used the coffee shop for smoothies and snacks each day and staff here were friendly and helpful. Lunch was great - lots of choice and the sushi bar was amazing. When we went there weren't very many restaurants open but we enjoyed dinner, particularly at the grill/ steak restaurant. Bar area was good but one thing very lacking at this hotel is night time entertainment. Although we didn't choose to watch, there were a movie on a couple of nights (though if there were only a couple of adults, the movie was changed to a kids one which isn't very fair on those adults expecting to watch the film.) We went on the sunset catamaran trip which was great. We also went to Mustique and Bequia through hotel and trip was good. The staff at this hotel are great and really made the trip. On our way home our bags did not travel with us and did not arrive in Barbados in time for our connecting flight to Gatwick so they were eventually delivered to us in Glasgow a weefter we got home! Overall we really enjoyed our honeymoon and would return to St Vincent. It is a lovely island albeit very quiet.
