While vacationing in Nevis, we were told by many not to miss the Thursday night Beach BBQ at Nisbet Plantation--they were right. Beginning with wine, Rum Punch, and horsd' oeuvres on the patio of the beach bar mingling with other guests you are treated to an evening of Nevisian hospitality and cuisine. Dinner buffet style at Coconuts Restaurant adjacent to the pool; many lovely salad offerings (sauted mushrooms, beets, local tomatoes & cucumbers) are a light and refreshing start to your meal. There are several grilled fist and seafood options along with local salsa and mango sauce, as well as Nevisian hot sauce made from locally grown Scotch Bonnet pepper, hot but delicious. The desert options are the best to be had with so many to choose from you may have a had time deciding: fruits and cheeses, chocolate torte, cheese cakes, pies, bread pudding, etc. All this is followed by caribbean music from a live band and dancing under the stars. Make sure you make a reservation in advance, seating is limited.
