We booked Ottley's for a three night stay after the Marriot for five nights. The Marriot offered late nights and parties which was great for the first leg of the vacation - although the service was very shoddy. Ottley's was a fantastic way to spend the final days. The service was impeccable. They do everything they can to make your stay perfect. The food was incredible! We never left the property. The only thing I would say was less than what I expected was the bed. The Marriot has a great bed and for the price we paid on the supreme room, I would have expected better. It wasn't awful, just a bit stiff. The property is gorgeous. There really is no croquet. You could play on the green (although the grass is thick like that in Texas), but the rain and sea air takes its tole on the equipment. We spent as much money there as we normally would on a seven day vacation in Mexico, but I would say it was well spent. I will always have fond memories of Ottley's. The only reason this review is not excellent is because of the quality of the bed.

Having spoken to Art on the phone from the UK I was wowed by his passion for Ottleys and the fact that he wanted to share this "piece of paradise" with other people. We just had to go and see for ourselves and it was more than we could have hoped for. Ottleys for us is sheer paradise - from the welcome that you receive when you arrive, you know that the staff care about your stay and want to make it memorable - to your departure and the genuine goodbye.

We'll definitely be heading back to Ottleys to re-sample this special place - if you've found a beautiful location and you've furnished it with beautiful things, the icing on the cake is the people. The Keusch family and staff have achieved this wonderful art of being there when you need them and "disappearing" when you don't.

A word of advice from Alan: Make sure that if you're travelling around the Carribean that you make Ottleys your last stop, as everywhere else afterwards will be an anti-climax!

We contacted Ottley's while staying at the Marriott St Kitts, which we were disappointed with. We ended up moving to Ottley's on October 31st and stayed through November 2nd. We stayed in Room 25 which was half of a cottage with our own private plunge pool. It was absolutely beautiful at Ottley's!! Perfect for our honeymoon and matched the ambiance of the Four Seasons, Nevis, which is where we had started our 10 day honeymoon. We met the owners, Ruth and Art who were very nice. We ate dinner at the Royal Palm at Ottley's for both nights, and the food was very good. We were there during low season, so there were not many other guests, which made for a very quiet and relaxing time. The plantation is beautiful and the decor of the rooms is very nice. We absolutely loved it here!!!!

Bring bug spray!! The gnats drove us a little crazy and the bug spray that we bought in the office didn't do anything.

We just came back from an absolutely AMAZING week at Ottley's Plantation Inn. I have never spent a more wonderful and relaxing week in my life! We loved the grounds, the family, the staff and the food so much that we hardly left the proprerty. We will definately be back!
