“Awesome Vantage Point”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Don't miss this stop when visiting St. Kitts. It takes a little effort to get to the top of this hill, from hairpin turns to very narrow openings to drive through, but its worth it. The views are spectacular. I filled up a good portion of my photo card taking pictures. You not only have a good view of the ocean (with Saint Eustatius in the background) but also the impressive Mount Liamuiga. There is a short video detailing the active history of this fort, which was OK. However I would skip the audio tour they try to sell you on the way in the gate.

“Excellent and informative museum, great views.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

There is a very nice 9 minute video explaining the history of Brimstone. Then you have to climb a pretty steep hill to get to the fort. But it's worth it. The fort is about 50% restored and has very good exhibition rooms with info about the site, island, etc. You could spend 1 1/2 hours if you are really interested.

“Don't miss this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

This fort was a great stop for us on our tour of St. Kitts - my husband especially enjoyed it. Even if old forts aren't your thing, the views from up there are amazing. We saw a short video clip on the history (maybe 15 minutes?) and then walked around. They have a small gift shop and a small snack stand and restrooms on sight as well. Walk up the incline to the top, and then up more stairs for a great view in all directions. I believe you can see St. Eustacious (sp?) from there, and on real clear days, even more islands. It's hard to believe the taxi drivers can get through the narrow arch entry ways. Some of the rooms inside the fort have great displays - and they are working on more.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Definitely a place to be seen while in St Kitts. That people could have built such a place by hand, where it was built, is amazing. The view from the fort is incredible. It's well worth the $8 pp to get in. You're gonna love the drive up to it!

“Views are amazing”

You can;t beat the views on the island from this place. Great location with nice breeze from the ocean. The fort is well situated with hills on one side and ocean views on the other. We had a great time here and was quite relaxing just watching the exapansive coastline view.
