We have just spent a wonderful two weeks on Cayman Brac staying in a private house on the South Shore. Unfortunately, the currents outside our house were too strong to allow us to go into the sea so no morning swims. However, if we had been able to go into the sea from the house shore, I don't think we would have found all the fantastic snorkeling sites around the island. We thought ourselves very lucky as we saw Iguanas everyday on our drive back to the house in the afternoon; some visitors to the island who had been coming for years still hadn't seen one! The only wild life we had to go in search of was the Brac Parrot, we finally managed to see them flying around early one morning when before breakfast we set off to the bluff in search of them. Diving was the best so far (we have been diving for 3 years). Reef Divers looked after us very well. They were extremely professional, which made us all feel very safe. The briefings before the dive were very informative, which meant we missed very little. We would certainly recommend them. During the second week of our stay there was a Sand Sculpting Competition on the island and guess what, the boys won and made the local press, so for the remainder of our holiday they were something of a celebrity. If you are there next year when they hold the competition again, listen for talk of the 2004 winners who did the dragon sculpture - you'll have something to live up to. Will we be back? Most definitely. There are some great people on Cayman Brac and we would love to see them again. I could go on with this review but I really think you should go and see for yourself.
