“Not only excellent but helpful with Gluten Free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

In addition to all the raving the other reviewers provide, I will add that Jeff is also helpful with gluten free. He made gluten free gravy for chicken and mashed potato night. For sushi night he made us special potatoes and broccoli as we could not eat the noodles. The sushi, especially the lion fish, was superb. The place is a hoot. If you are not staying there you need reservations and they will pick you up where ever you are staying.

“Upscale dining in the middle of nowhere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

All the meals were buffet meals but as good as you can find in any upscale restaurant and plenty of food and choices for all. We liked the lunches the best but breakfast and dinner had great food and surprises too.

A couple of the dinners were oddly comfort food (i.e. grilled Chicken and mashed potatoes) which wasnt expected for the more formal dinners.

Dress is pretty casual at the restaurant. If you visit expect a happy hour before with a dip or snack plate to pick at, then a bell, then you'll be seated probably at the table with the hostess. Then you'll be told when its your turn for the buffet (always plenty of food and always fresh) and then dinner will end with another bell and you'll retire to the lounge for coffee/more drinks and perhaps cards and such.

“Refreshingly delicious and creative food on a tiny little island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

It's hard to imagine that world class chefs have taken residence on an island only ten miles long, but that's the fact. I had the pleasure of having two wonderful meals that were simply beyond delicious. Everything is entirely hand made from scratch in their kitchen and bakery. What makes this so remarkable is that this Gladys Howard has an incredible gift for entertaining in every senses of the word. Meals can be tuned to specific dietary needs (a joy for our gluten free diner). You must make reservations!

“World-class Food on a Tiny Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I gained 5 pounds after a week of eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Pirates Point. The food is absolutely delicious, copious, and varied. Something new was served at every meal. If you aren't staying at Pirates Point, definitely make a reservation to have a meal with Gladys and the rest of the crew while you're on Little Cayman. It'll make you sorry you didn't book a room here.

“Gem on Little Cayman”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Having stayed at PP many years ago, we had to have dinner while staying at a condo this trip.
Be sure to reserve, in that seats are probably limited, providing for resort guests. We were fortunate enough to go an the famous Friday Tuna Night. It begins in the intimate bar area, where Jeff unveils his array of sushi, probably ten varieties, all as artfully presented (and delicious) as a top Manhattan restaurant! Unlimited sparkling wine is served, and everyone is indulging in the amazing sushi and conversing together. Don't forget to try the dreaded lion fish....wonderful.
After happy hour, everyone moves to the dining room for a feast served buffet-style. Chef Jeff met individual needs, serving the tuna rare or well done according to individual tastes. Veggies and a noodle stir fry complemented the amazing sushi-grade seared tuna. Complimentary wine is served.
For those not familiar with PP, it is run lovingly by icon Gladys Howard, and her amazing staff, many who have been there for many years. There is a comfortable family feel to the resort and the restaurant.
Anyone coming to LC, this is must place to stay or to dine. We wouldn't miss it!
PS. free pick up and return is appreciated
