My husband and I went to the Cayman Islands and stayed at the Meridian May 17th-25th, 2007. Our anniversary is May 22 so we always take our vacation at this time. We have been to Jamaica, Aruba, Bahamas, Cancun, Cabo Mexico, and Barbados.
We loved the Caymans and the Meridian surpassed our expectations. The resort is very quaint and doesn't have more than 34 rooms. The condos are fully equipped with everything you need, decorated very nice, and extremely clean.
The workout room was well equipped with cardio machines and free weights (my huband loved that it was air conditioned). The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The location was great, we never even rented a car. Restraunts, bars, shops, and Foster's food (an IGA grocerey store) is all within walking distance. We also can't say enough about the staff at the Meridian...Lee, Pat, and Nora were very attentative and helpful. My huband and I decided that our trip to CI and our stay at the Meridian has been our favorite trip thus far!!

Stayed for a week in a fifth floor three bedroom condo. The condo was spacious with designer furniture and a great view of Seven Mile Beach. The beach itself was stunning and the sea the perfect temperature. Had the pool to ourselves most of the week. The property is immaculate and the beach is cleaned and raked daily. Daily maid service was great and there are plenty of pool towels.
Grand Cayman is a wonderful place for families. Easy to get around (with driving on the left as we Brits like it), plenty of family restaurants and gorgeous beaches. Rum Point is well worth a visit - amazing beach and the beach restaurant served the best chicken wings in hot sauce I have tasted (all for a very reasonable price).
There is building on both sides (some new condos) but this was not a distraction. Although the property is expensive we thought it was good value for what it was (particularly with the dollar:sterlng exchange rate). With increased competition from the new neighbouring condos in the future there may be deals to be had in the future.
We will certainly go back to Cayman and Meridian would be top of our list of places to stay.

I stayed at this hotel in June of 2006. I loved it. I am a kid and I was very impressed. They had a good pool, a great beach spot, good TV, an awesome view of the cruise ships (AWESOME!!!!!!!!!), and much more. The only downside was we had to change rooms becuase there was construction right outside our window which woke us up at 7:00 A.M. Room 19, if there is no construction, is the best room in the hotel. Also, the hotel was near everything I wanted to go to. Last time we stayed on the east side, which was a 40 min. drive to anything good. The rooms are big, nicely decorated, smell good, and are kept at a good temperature. The elevator was hot, and slow, but that was okay. The Meridian is the best hotel on Seven Mile Beach and the staff is nice. You and your family should definately stay at this hotel!!!!!!!!

We just returned from a week during Christmas at the Meridian. We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we checked in with Lee to find that our unit was absolutely what we had reserved. The unit we had was on the 4th floor and had amazing views of the ocean and beach. The units are all new with all the latest amenities. It was cleaned daily by maid service and we had plenty of beach and bath towels.

It is conveniently located across from a shopping ctr with grocery, liquor and wine and jewelry stores.

Coconut Joes- quick lunch or breakfast
Deckers for all u can eat lobster on Tuesdays

The Ritz is 2 doors down and is a great resort. This condo complex is on the best part of 7 Mile Beach.
