“Great dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2014 NEW

We recently stayed at the Westin. After visiting the Beach House on our second night there, we enjoyed the meal so much, we went back twice! The staff could not have been more welcoming. Their friendly service was the best we've ever experienced! We enjoyed many of the great choices of local cuisine, particularly the tuna.

“Excellent location and view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2014

We ate an evening meal here to see what the kitchen had to offer. We shared a goat cheese and potato salad appetizer that was ok but not a great dish. I had fish served over orzo that was good. I enjoyed this dish. The fish was well prepared, not overcooked. The orzo was well sauced. My wife had a pasta and sea food dish that was adequate but did not live up to the description in the menu. The pasta was prepared aldente as expected. The seafood was sauced, I tasted it, and agreed with my wife that chorizo did nothing for the dish in terms of flavor or texture. Presentation of both dishes was good, with eye appeal.

Service was friendly and attentive but it seemed that another team member would have allowed for a little faster service. Perhaps this condition was related to the September lull.

Decor was pleasant but not eye catching. The view of seven mile beach was impressive.

For the cost of the meal, we would have preferred a finer dining experience than we received.

“Very good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2014

We had a beautiful table outside on the patio at Beach House. It was very quiet and romanic! We had great service, although our waiter disappeared for about 40 minutes while another server stepped in to take his place, but then he came back. The pumpkin risotto was amazing and my husband's red snapper was great. Overall, this was a great beachside restaurant!

“Don't waste your money-should have gone to Burger Shack”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2014

This establishment really could use some consulting. First of all, they are attempting to make it a fine dining restaurant when the space lends itself to a cafeteria with lipstick; the decor is mish-moshed..there is evidence of trying to make it look 5 star in a previous space that lends itself to a tacky banquet room. It just doesn't flow, and for the cost of an entree, you expect the space to be more cohesive. Really really bad feng shui. Plus, there is a loud bar in there that doesn't lend itself to a sophisticated dining area.

Now, let's move onto the food. Bland. May I have some salt please? I would have felt more satisfied eating at a lesser establishment. The prices were ridiculous for the quality that I received. The food was so bad, I was definitely passing on dessert. They need to reevaluate their menu and the quality of what they are putting out-or maybe they need to reevaluate the chef. Terrible. I felt ripped off. No chance of any Michelin stars here.

Lastly, the service was very awkward. There is a certain level of service you expect when you are spending $300.00 on dinner for two and it's just not at the level it needs to be. The servers were not able to articulate about the dishes and lacked the finesse you expect when you are dining at a restaurant of this "level". It's just a weird set-up and they are getting away with ripping off tourists.

I appreciate that they are attempting to have a fine-dining establishment, but it's like wearing a bad dress with ugly shoes...it just doesn't mesh. Save yourself a buck and the frustration.

“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2014

Good food and nice atmosphere. It's pricey because it's part of the Westin Hotel but it was worth the visit. We were a party of 5 and we all enjoyed our meals and the Banana's Foster dessert was excellent.
