“TASTE OF PARADISE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Our family stayed at the Coral Stone Club from 4/13 - 4/20 at Unit #17. It was located on the 3rd floor overlooking the ocean. There was a large covered screened balcony (with a large table and chairs) off the family room and a 2nd balcony off the master bedroom (total of 3 bedrooms). The kitchen was fully furnished and had a large array of utensils, dishes, etc. We had a couple of minor problems early on, which were promptly addressed. The entire staff was upbeat, friendly and ready to help whenever necessary. We had a total of 4 adults and 3 children and had plenty of space to relax. Since we arrived on a Sunday and local stores are closed, mgmt. was asked to purchase basics (i.e. milk, water, bread and of course peanut butter) prior to our arrival. There was a supermarket within 2 blocks which we stocked up with food, beverages and alcohol. The Stone Club had a variety of restaurants within a 2-4 blocks walk, proving to be an ideal location versus other places along 7 Mile Beach road.
We highly recommend taking a charter to visit the stingrays in about 3 feet of water and have them circle around you hoping to get a bite of squid; also did snorkeling at another location and the types and colors of the fish were spectacular. The total trip took about 4-5 hours and was definitely memorable. If your young and active and love the water, there is a myriad of activities that can fill out your day, but each activity does cost money.
For us, this was a family vacation committed to spending a great deal of time at the pool and lazing in the ocean which was a hop, skip and a jump away from the pool. There were virtually no waves in the ocean and the temperature must have been in the 80-83 degree range; truly relaxing. The Ritz Carlton was adjacent to our property, however, there were very few people in our section of the beach, compared to the Ritz which a huge number of lounge chairs and people.
This was an very enjoyable, relaxing vacation for all of us and the unit and location met all our expectations. Please note that the Cayman $ is how your priced and if your paying in U.S. $'s, the business add a 20-22% premium to all your bills.

Just returned from a week at the Coral Stone Club. With kids I highly recommend a 1st level suite. Staff was very accommodating, location is great. Surrounded by many more "commercial" places but you felt insulated from a big hotel or complex feel. Easy access to grocery store, coffee shops, etc...on the way out we were looking for days to book our next trip back here...I think that says it all.

Three couples stayed in unit 22 for a week. The condo was very comfortable and was located on the ground floor, which allowed us to walk right out of the porch and into the pool area/beach.

The included amenities are awesome and include daily maid service. Grocery and restaurants and within and easy walking distance. All appliances, pots and pans and equipment needed to make your own meals are included.

The beach is beautiful and far less crowded than the ritz Carlton next door. If you like to snorkel, try heading out to the small reefs in front of the condos that are about 100 yards from shore and then swimming north- we saw rays and dozens of species of fish.

High value.

Set in an ideal location on 7-Mile Beach adjacent to the Ritz Carlton, Coral Stone Club offers a beautiful section of beach without competing with hotel guests for space. We rented Unit #29 [3 bedroom - 3 bath] condo with full kitchen, balcony (off master bed), screened porch (off living room). Truly a wonderful amount of space for a family of 5! Located on the 2nd floor, the views out to the ocean for sunset each night were magnificent!

We all truly loved Grand Cayman! The water clarity is astounding! Every day our kids were searching the beach for various stones, or swimming & diving just off shore. As a result, we spent little if any time in the pool.

With access to other properties along the beach (Ritz, Westin, etc.), we did not need to look far for activities for our family. Red Sail Water Sports (located at the Westin) offered all types of watersport rentals (wave runners, parasailing, SUP, water skiing & wake boarding, etc.). Whatever you were looking for, it was easy to find within close proximity to this property.

Room Tip: Consider a ground floor room. If you are making multiple trips back & forth from the beach/pool...

Here are just a few reasons why I would recommend this place - it's so easy to stay here with small children that I am already booking next year.... consider:

- Ritz Carlton is right next door. Get this - they play kids movies outside every night under the stars. Look for the signs to Periwinkles restaurant. I actually ordered a drink and my son had a cookies and ice cream desert while we watched Pinocchio. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel.

- zero entry infinity pool right outside your door with a zero entry. Pool and sand toys available for kids to use.

- loads of excellent restaurants close by that offer takeout if you want to hunker down with the kids.

- our unit was so close to the pool we could put our baby down for a nap - we could see her room and the baby monitor would reach the water's edge. Bliss.

- the ocean on seven mile beach is so calm, we could actually play with our 10 month old baby while the waves lapped the shore. Wow!

God help them, but we will be back! :)

Room Tip: Absolutely unequivocally recommend ground floor.

Excellent location on 7 mile. Plenty of chairs near the pool and on the beach. Excellent staff and amenities. Would recommend for couples traveling together or families. Walk to many restaurants and grocery store nearby. We have been staying here since 1993. Nothing comes close to this place. It's a home away from home for us!

Room Tip: Third floor units are quietest, but first floor is convenient pool and beach access for small childr...

Excellent location next to the Ritz. Walk out to the beach and it's not crowded like the larger hotels. Plenty of Palapas. Love the screened porches! All units are not the same so check the website to pick your unit.

Room Tip: We like the upper corner next to the Ritz even though it hasn't been renovated. Easy to run ove...
