I need to preface this by saying that I've been going to cayman for 30 years, and I've always heard very good things about this operation. This may have just not been their day. Tom was very personable, and on the way out, he told us about how he takes people to sites not visited by others. We were going to the north wall. About 200 yards past the cut in the reef to get out, he dropped anchor. No safety briefing about where or whether any oxygen or first aid stuff might be if necessary. As we're gearing up, I asked if there was dringing water aboard. I was pointed to a cooler with no ice in it containing bottles of water that had been previously opened & refilled. GROSS!! I tried 2 different bottles. Both previously opened. The first dive was a 100 yard underwater swim to the wall for a 15 minute dive on the wall. We were told to be back on the boat in 25 minutes. On the return swim, he swam off & left a number of us to find our own way back. For the second dive, he didn't even move the boat. We were told to be back up in 35 minutes, and then he & some people who seemed to be regulars went off lionfishing. We could follow along & watch, or be left to our own devices. I felt like I was just there to fund his lionfishing hobby. It was one of my worst recent diving experiences, and I dive a lot. My dive buddy, who knew him was disappointed also, so it wasn't just me. Sadly, I won't be back. Obviously others have had different experiences.
