“Relaxing Vacation in a Perfect Spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

My husband and two adult sons (22 and 19) enjoyed 5 days in Condo #11. DPC is in a great location--just a touch off the busy touristy spots of Seven Mile Beach, but close enough to access great dining, shopping and activities.
Our condo was very clean and well appointed and the owners very thoughtfully provide coolers, blue ice and can coolies so you can enjoy refreshments on the beach without them getting warm or sweaty.
We rented two cars for our visit (we left DPC and headed to Rum Point for 5 days) and found plenty of parking and easy access to a grocery just up the road. The owners kindly let us stay past the appointed check out time of noon since we were unable to check into our RP condo until 3pm. It was nice to have a leisurely check out. We really appreciated their flexibility and willingness to please us.
The beach is nice, a tad rocky. There is a relatively rock-free entry point and if you snorkel straight out, will find some lovely corals full of very inquisitive colorful fish. We spotted an eagle ray and ocotopus, along with a large assortment of other creatures. An easy swim to the right and you'll find yourself at Cemetary Reef that is also home to a great collection of corals and creatures. The beach feels very safe and a number of guests would leave their personal belongings and towels under cabanas all day while they came and went. *hint* Get a cabana staked out early if you want shade!
We used the pool and hot tub quite a bit as well. I found the other guests to be very complimentary of DPC and chatted with many repeat visitors. The overall vibe of the place is very laid back, friendly, warm and accomodating. As much as we enjoyed our 5 days at Rum Point, we missed DPC and agreed we would return.

If you are looking for a dive company, my family used Dive Tech (for open water cert and a dive trip to Kittiwake and we were very pleased with them and their attention to detail and personal touch. We used Captain Marvin's for our obligatory (and much enjoyed) three stop trip to Stingray City and we enjoyed a (hot sweaty) walk thru the QE Botanical Gardens. The Blue Iguanas are like giant scaly puppies and come trotting up to you the minute you rest on a park bench. :-)

This was our third vacation to GC and our first at DPC and we were very happy with our condo choice. Thank you to the owners for providing such a lovely condo and accomodations.

Me and my wife went to discovery point #25 for our honeymoon. We also took her son and mother. The staff was very helpful and the condo was perfect. Not crowded always a cabana free. They provided beach towels and were always ready to help out with any advice or help book tours. We all enjoyed ourselves so much. Love the fact that this condo is ground floor. Step out the back door and you are on the beach. We will definitely be going back

All the positive reviews here are acurate. Great place for families. You'll need a car, as there isn't much around but other hotels and condos. There is a grocery store about a half mile north of the DPC. Great beach and water. It's a little rockier here than nearby beaches, but as a result the fish life is better and there is more to see when snorkeling. The place was quiet at night as it was mostly families, and while there were a few beach-drinkers who seemed to sun and drink all day, they were quiet and well mannered. Would stay again.

My husband and I took our kids- who are boys, ages 11 & 19, to DPC for the first time this summer. We had stayed elsewhere the last 3 years. We were looking for a quiet part of seven mile that wasn't crowded, and we found it!!! Loved the snorkeling right on the beach! The condos are large enough to sleep 6 comfortably. 2 beds/baths was great. There was a clean bucket of water right outside the condo each day for some much needed sand rinsing. The full kitchen had everything we needed, being that we only ate out one time a day. The grocery store is within walking distance. It's far enough from the crowded part of seven mile, but you still get that beautiful beach and awesome sunset! Ollie and other people in charge of the complex were great!!! DPC is near many local restaurants, including Alfrescos, which has amazing food.
It was truly paradise. We will be back to stay at DPC! We absolutely loved it.

If you want a great place to stay that is five feet from the beach then this is your place! We just have returned from a 10 day stay here and it was wonderful which of course makes it hard to leave! Everybody from the gals in the office, Ayn Rose and Ms Ollie to Barbara who took care of our room treat you like family! You feel so welcome here and the accommodations are gorgeous! We stay in unit #5! We are divers and there was a great place to rinse and hang equipment and we always felt safe! Can't wait till our next trip!

This is a great location on one of the most beautiful places on earth. The staff are very good, The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. There was only the two of us on this trip, but the condos can easily handle 6. The location on Seven Mile Beach is on the far NW end, away from the hustle/bustle of Georgetown, but very easily reached by car.

Room Tip: Traveling with children, I would recommend the 1st floor.

Just spent a week in June at Discovery Point and loved it!

My wife and I stayed in number 35 with our 1 year old son. It was the perfect spot for a small child. The property is nice and very well-kept, the beach is stunningly beautiful, and it's very private, quiet and safe. Getting there was easy, and everything we needed (stores, restaurants, attractions) was a short drive away. Plus, you're not near the rest of the tourists and the only noise you hear is the surf. Each apartment has thick walls and glass - we never heard a noise from another apartment.

The units are very large and all have great views. TV, cable, dvd, ipod dock,in each room as well. Our apartment was a second floor unit which meant carrying our son up the stairs, so I could see people with kids opting for a ground floor apartment. The beach was never packed, always plenty of room on the beach, plenty of chairs and plenty of room by the pool. Also, plenty of parking as well. Renting a car in Cayman is a must, especially if you're staying in this area

Miss Ollie and the staff were very helpful throughout. Rocky start because our unit wasn't ready despite telling them we were arriving early, but the staff responded quickly to fix any issues. All of the recommendations were perfect, including the car rental from Oscar and the charter boat to sting ray city. What I liked is that the recommendations all came across as genuine and not just pushing us to the place that offers kickbacks like some hotels/resorts.

The beach is very rocky and can be a bit difficult to enter the water at first, but the snorkeling is fantastic.

I don't know about other units, but I wish ours had frying pans. Also wish that they had a greener towel service policy. These minor points aside, we loved it and have talked about going back.

Would definitely recommend this to families and couples looking for real relaxation and comfort.

Room Tip: No bad views here, but would recommend 2nd floor so you're elevated over the beacj and have a cl...
