“Awesome and relaxing...quiet paradise!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

My husband and I took our kids- who are boys, ages 11 & 19, to DPC for the first time this summer. We had stayed elsewhere the last 3 years. We were looking for a quiet part of seven mile that wasn't crowded, and we found it!!! Loved the snorkeling right on the beach! The condos are large enough to sleep 6 comfortably. 2 beds/baths was great. There was a clean bucket of water right outside the condo each day for some much needed sand rinsing. The full kitchen had everything we needed, being that we only ate out one time a day. The grocery store is within walking distance. It's far enough from the crowded part of seven mile, but you still get that beautiful beach and awesome sunset! Ollie and other people in charge of the complex were great!!! DPC is near many local restaurants, including Alfrescos, which has amazing food.
It was truly paradise. We will be back to stay at DPC! We absolutely loved it.

If you want a great place to stay that is five feet from the beach then this is your place! We just have returned from a 10 day stay here and it was wonderful which of course makes it hard to leave! Everybody from the gals in the office, Ayn Rose and Ms Ollie to Barbara who took care of our room treat you like family! You feel so welcome here and the accommodations are gorgeous! We stay in unit #5! We are divers and there was a great place to rinse and hang equipment and we always felt safe! Can't wait till our next trip!

This is a great location on one of the most beautiful places on earth. The staff are very good, The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. There was only the two of us on this trip, but the condos can easily handle 6. The location on Seven Mile Beach is on the far NW end, away from the hustle/bustle of Georgetown, but very easily reached by car.

Room Tip: Traveling with children, I would recommend the 1st floor.

Just spent a week in June at Discovery Point and loved it!

My wife and I stayed in number 35 with our 1 year old son. It was the perfect spot for a small child. The property is nice and very well-kept, the beach is stunningly beautiful, and it's very private, quiet and safe. Getting there was easy, and everything we needed (stores, restaurants, attractions) was a short drive away. Plus, you're not near the rest of the tourists and the only noise you hear is the surf. Each apartment has thick walls and glass - we never heard a noise from another apartment.

The units are very large and all have great views. TV, cable, dvd, ipod dock,in each room as well. Our apartment was a second floor unit which meant carrying our son up the stairs, so I could see people with kids opting for a ground floor apartment. The beach was never packed, always plenty of room on the beach, plenty of chairs and plenty of room by the pool. Also, plenty of parking as well. Renting a car in Cayman is a must, especially if you're staying in this area

Miss Ollie and the staff were very helpful throughout. Rocky start because our unit wasn't ready despite telling them we were arriving early, but the staff responded quickly to fix any issues. All of the recommendations were perfect, including the car rental from Oscar and the charter boat to sting ray city. What I liked is that the recommendations all came across as genuine and not just pushing us to the place that offers kickbacks like some hotels/resorts.

The beach is very rocky and can be a bit difficult to enter the water at first, but the snorkeling is fantastic.

I don't know about other units, but I wish ours had frying pans. Also wish that they had a greener towel service policy. These minor points aside, we loved it and have talked about going back.

Would definitely recommend this to families and couples looking for real relaxation and comfort.

Room Tip: No bad views here, but would recommend 2nd floor so you're elevated over the beacj and have a cl...

Listen, Cayman Island is filled with places to stay. But you just can't beat the Private Discovery Point Club. I have stayed at this resort two times in the past 10 years and both times it's been wonderful. The first time was before the big hurricane, the second time after. You wouldn't have known it ever happened as the place is maintained amazingly. The staff is nice but stay out of your way which makes it truly a peaceful and relaxing vacation. You can't beat be 25 yards away from the beach which is private and quiet. Other than a few people walking or running the beach, its just you and the waves! I'd highly recommend Unit #39. We stayed in this unit and the furniture is beautiful, free internet, TV, and more for those relaxing nights after the beach. Pool is great for a dip and in the room the owner provided a list of the best places to eat. All of them were TOP notch. great stuff!

Room Tip: Each Condo is independently owned but managed by the association. I have stayed in #2 and #39, both...

My wife and I just got back from Grand Cayman. We stayed at Discovery Point Club unit #10. Unit 10 is on the second floor. Being on the second floor you get a very nice view of the beach and pool, however there is no elevator, and you access the unit from the back. Even though the first floor units open right to the beach area, we liked the privacy and views from the second floor. Having breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the surf was great. Unit 10 is fully equipped, and decorated very nicely. Its even has a large screen HD TV in the living room, and one in the master bedroom. Since we travel in the slow season, we got a great rate and even a free night. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is while the beach looks beautiful it is very rocky. Even with beach shoes its difficult to get in the water. However these rocks makes for great snorkeling just a few feet into the water. All in all I recommend this place and especially unit 10. A couple of tips if you are going to Grand Cayman. Rent a car, highly recommend this, the island is beautiful and the roads are great. We rented from All Star Rental. What a great way to rent a car. Oscar picked us up at the airport in the car, help us to load our bags, drove us out of the airport area, gave us directions to where we were going we dropped him off at his office, and we were on our way. When it was time to leave we drove to his office and he drove us to the airport and even helped us unload our bags. One restaurant we recommend is Edoardo's. Great Italian food at a reasonable price. One last thing, If you go don't miss the Dolphin experience. You get to "dance" with a Dolphin, what else can a say.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms have direct access to the beach, but the second and third floors offer more pr...

We stayed here from June 8-13. This was our 5th time at Cayman but our first at DPC. We were not disappointed. The condo was beautiful (#33) and the view was gorgeous. Loved sitting on the screened patio in the morning and evening. The beach was quiet and plenty of chairs available. Ollie and her staff were very helpful.
