Our family has made about 10 trips to Grand Cayman during the past several years......Except for 2005 (post Ivan) we have spent the past 8 Easter vacations there. Past locations have included Hyatt, Westin, Islands Club, as well as Courtyard by Marriott (used to be Holiday Inn). Moved to Aqua Bay because it was renovated early & is near our favorite snorkeling destination: cemetary reef. Our 2 bdr ground floor condo was *better than new*. Beautiful furnishings, brand new top-of-the-line appliances. Office was efficient.....maid service severely inefficient! We expected no service on Good Friday & Easter, but it was shabby on the other days. The beach is beautiful, however the rocks & pieces of coral in the water made it difficult getting in and out. BBQ's look great.......didn't seem to heat up for us even after 30min wait! Traffic has gotten incredibly bad on West Bay Road (the main drag along 7 Mile Beach). After 2 hours, we had not gone the 2 miles to the Westin on Holy Thursday! Also missed a dinner reservation because of traffic! I love Cayman......but would I go back? Probably not, although I'd return to the Islands Club if I did. Glad that we did not invest ina multi-million dollar property at the Ritz Carlton. Those people sat in the same traffic!!! Good dining: Calypso Grill, Grand Old House. Fun quick dining: Breezes, Rackham's , & Hammerhead's. Can't beat their views!!! Snorkeling tip: Take a bag of frozen peas & be ready for an awesome experience feeding the fish at cemetary reef. It's worth the swim out to it!!!!

My husband and I stayed at Aqua Bay for our honeymoon. We could not have imagined a better place to stay for this special moment in our lives. Gail was wonderful and our condo was breathtaking with a fantastic view of the beach and crystal clear ocean. Aqua Bay is very clean, has beautiful landscaping, and so much more. We hope we will be able to go back to the Caymans one day soon and we'll definitely stay at Aqua Bay.

Aqua Bay Club (ABC) is located in a secluded northern part of 7 mile beach, away from the bustling resorts located further south. Our 2 bedroom oceanfront unit was fabulous. The rooms were clean, large, and comfortable, and the kitchen was large and well stocked, which was great for cooking. Our large windowed patio lead directly to the sand of the beach. You can watch the sunset from the stretch of beach in front of ABC, and then watch the stars at night. The beach was a little rocky in front of ABC, but a 10 minute walk south lead to less a rocky part (note: there is 10 km of beach to explore on 7 mile beach!).

We've travelled to several islands, and stayed at resorts and condos large and small. Grand Cayman is a great island with friendly people, albeit a bit built up and expensive. For eg, St Kitt's is a much more affordable, but the beaches are not nearly as nice as Cayman's. Stingray Sandbar and the beach at Rum Point were highlights.

Stayed at ABC this November, and had an excellent experience. The property is in great shape, and the beach is even better. There is about 35 feet more beach. The snorkeling right off the club is not as good, but cemetery reef was still great. Highly recommend it.
