I've never written a review for TripAdvisor before, but I loved our recent stay at Aqua Bay Club so much that I felt I should share our experience with other travelers. My husband and I were looking for an affordable but nice condo, on 7 mile beach, with a pool, that wasn't too crowded and busy. We definitely found that with Aqua Bay Club!!

All the condos overlook the beach and pool area - there are fantastic sunsets you can watch from the beach...with a frozen margarita you can make in your condo. Our condo was clean and beachy, but not cheesy. It had a large living room with flat screen TV, king size bed and TV in the bedroom, 1 bath, and full kitchen. Unit #17 was actually a 2 bedroom, but they locked the middle bedroom/bath so that we didn't have to pay the higher price, but could be on the top floor (which we asked for). Deena and Renda had everything ready when we got there, including a fruit basket, and were awesome when our DVD player broke (it was replaced within an hour) and also gave great recommendations on a half day snorkeling trip (Captain Clinton was great - definitely go to StingRay City!).

The daily housekeeper was excellent - she asked what time we normally left the room so she didn't wake us up and also did our dishes every day! They provide big beach towels so you don't have to lug yours from home. The kitchen had all the cooking equipment you would need, but you still need to buy the basics for food (salt/pepper, coffee, etc). There is a grocery store right around the corner though.

Even though its on 7 mile beach, if you stay here, you have to rent a car because its not in walking distance to any restaurants or attractions. However, I would strongly recommend renting a car no matter where you stay. 7 mile Beach is not pedestrian friendly - no cross walks with lots of traffic. Plus it was fun to be able to explore the whole island with our car and be able to go to places more off the beaten path.

Aqua Bay was at the very end of 7 mile Beach so it was quiet, with hardly anyone walking by on the beach. The beach wasn't really affected by the most recent hurricane (unlike the other end of 7 mile beach). There are some rocks when getting in the water - either bring aqua socks or find the place to the left with the giant flat rocks to walk on until you get out of where the waves crash. The beach and pool has plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and tiki huts to lay under.

If we come back to Grand Cayman, we would definitely stay here!

Aqua Bay was everything we were hoping for and more. All Condo's are oceanfront. Our condo #5 was beach level with the pool directly outside our door. The Condo was so tastefully decorated and stocked with whatever you would need. The Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Deena. Caymans is a beautiful island with lots to see and do. The location of Aqua Bay was like having your own private beach with great snorkeling right at the condo. The only down side to the location was that it was too long of a walk to any of the other Major hotels if you were not renting a car. I would definetely rent a car for the Caymans (which we did). Rum point and the Sting Ray excursion were both awesome. Many great resteraunts and great shopping. I went with my sister and 2 girlfriends but it would be a perfect family location. I will definetely stay at Aqua Bay upon my return.

Stayed here for a 8 day vacation in March with my family. Beautiful resort at a great location if you want to be away from the crowds and noise, which we did. Gorgeous beach - great for swimming & snorkeling. Our second floor unit was pretty, very clean & had everything we needed for cooking. We loved the view from our screened porch. Foster's Supermarket is just down the road. Extremely friendly & efficient front desk & housekeeping. Top floor units are quietest with the best views but no elevator. Families with kids prefer ground floor units. The only thing I would have liked is more cabanas or umbrellas for shade. We had to reserve our shade early. Other than that, the place was perfect for us and we'll be back next year. Restaurants we liked: The Wharf, Calypso Grill, Eduaordo's, Neptune's. Alfresco's is a local no-frills restaurant with good food, a great view from their outdoor deck, & reasonable prices. All are a few minutes drive from Aqua Bay. If you want to rent a car, Andy's is the cheapest but make your reservation before you arrive.

March of 2009 was the second year we vacationed at the Aqua Bay Club, and I hope we make it there again next year. When we talked about where to vacation next, my son said,"It's pretty hard to improve since we found perfection at Aqua Bay." The condo is spotlessly clean. We just cannot say enough about the enjoyment we found at the Aqua Bay Club.
