“Great timeshare in very good condition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We have been owners at 7 Mile Beach Resort & Club (7MBR) since 1999. My son and I are SCUBA divers and my wife loves the ocean and pool. No, it is not on the beach but the beach and chaise lounges for the use of 7SMBR guests are a short walk away. Ignore what some people have said about the beach - it is in great condition. Sometimes after huge storms the beach becomes narrower but that is trues for the entire 7 Mile Beach (which is actually 5 miles long). In addition the beach and sand is MUCH cleaner than the beaches in Aruba by a long shot. The staff at 7MBR is very friendly and the rooms and pool are in great condition. Great place and we look forward to coming back every year.

We didn't know what to expect when attempting to get a week on seven mile beach in Grand Cayman during Christmas week but this property definitely met our needs. The size of the two bedroom condo was generous with three TV's, quiet, clean, screened in balconies, and fully equiped kitchen with washer/dryer in the unit. The resort is within walking distance of grocery store, Georgetown and some great dining. The beach is about one to two minutes down a cobble stone path. We did not rent a car and found that was a wise decision with all the buses/taxis available to drive you anywhere for around $2-$3. I would stay at this property again.
The fantastic weather and snorkeling was a plus as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room nearest the beach facing towards seven mile beach.

Im 24 years old and stayed here here September 2nd through the 9th. Second time to the caribbean, island was lovely couldn't have asked for more. The receptionist wasn't very helpful. The younger girl booked a booze cruise for us but wasn't helpful after that. We showed up from the airport, checked in and headed straight for the beach. You figure when you advertise "7 mile beach resort," there would be a beach that you had access to from the hotel. WRONG. After we walked down the walkway and found out there was no beach, we went straight back to the front desk (ie unit 6) and asked what to do for a beach. The lady plain as day looked us in the face and said "I don't know." There was another couple there who told us to take a bus to Tiki beach. It cost us 2.50 U.S. to get there per person. Tiki beach was incredible, the bar at tiki beach is incredible. Couldn't stress how quiet it was, and it was like we had our own beach. We packed a cooler full of beer and headed to TIKI beach almost everyday. When we got back to our room we prepared our food for the grill and wanted to go relax by the pool. Little kids were everywhere loud as hell and parents couldn't care less. A little disappointed with the pool area, could use some major upgrades, very dated. The "free rum punch" tastes like rubbing alcohol with red syrup, it wasn't every delightful. I was highly disappointed with the resort. Our room was okay, bed sucked but just tried to drink as much throughout the day to pass out. The grocery shuttle is very nice. I just felt like this place is very misleading and doesn't really live up to the other reviews. I cannot stress how much I enjoyed the island, however the hotel was just awful. If I won a free trip to this resort, I would give it away.

Room Tip: don't stay here.

No problem: Great AC in 1200 sq ft condo, upscale frig/oven and washer/dryer for all those wet clothes. 2 bedrooms, well separated, with 2 baths (1 with jetted tub). 3 TV's and decent cable w/movie channels. Old DVD's at front desk (maybe you could bring some to donate...). Huge sceened in porch so the walk out units feel like home as you walk into the neat garden and pool area. No ocean views, very similar views of the pool for everybody. 2 Big gas grills and large covered patio area. Out the door to the popular restaurants and bars on main street. Walking distance to shopping centers and mivie theatre. Monday free shuttle to 5 star grocery shopping. Lovely pool with long lap lanes, kid-safe isolated shallow pool, waterfalls galore, floats and noodles, outdoor shower, lots of pool side seating and towels. Plantation shutters for all windows and huge sliding door to the porch.

Rated only 3 stars because there is no lobby, there is unit #6 that has the check in, info, nice staff and welcoming attitude; Monday orientation meeting and rum punch free cokctails that evening.

No beach: just a short walkway to sit, overlooking the waves, and viewing daily sunsets with a pina colada or beer and camera. If you don't mind an adventure, you can walk along a concrete ledge, then get wet in the waist high waves, and finally reach the Marriott sandy beach/snorkel area in a couple of minutes. Actually pretty easy to do. Or stay dry and walk along the front sidewalk until you reach the access path to the sea, 8 minutes or so.

Best scuba wreck site EVER. Wonderful reefs, swim throughs, and coral formations like pillars. We dove with Ambassador Dive Shop (adjacent to the property) since the resort dive shop was closed while boats were repaired. We had 10 breathtaking dives and met very accomplished and careful fellow divers and divemasters.

Room Tip: Gound floor has a huge pool and grills in your own back yard (very quiet neighbors, so it feels priv...

Three story walk-up. Choise of rooms, younger people opted for the third floor and older people, the first floor. The resort is very clean and the employees very friendly. The rooms are a plesant surprise. Great kitchens, a TV in each room, tons of storage space and a balcony that is screened in where we didn't get any hot sun all day and no bugs, helped with a fan overhead. Very comfortable chairs inside and out. A table set for four also on the balcony. The first floor patios have a screen door leading out to the pool. All rooms have a landscaped pool view with a multiple water feature sound. Better than the backside of many other resorts.
The resort has another resort between it and the water. The beach there comes and goes depending on the time of year. Guests were snorkeling right off the end of the access road about 250 feet from the resort. There is beach access near by and the resort has chairs and umbrellas free for your use. Any earlier storm dammage to the resort has been well repaired. They have no restaurant but there are two good ones 100 feet away with happy hours. There are many restaurants within a short walk, from American fast food to very expensive restaurants including the Marriott 200' away with a beach bar. Also Sat/Sun brunches near by. Grand Cayman is expensive! $1.20 US = $1.00 CI. Alcohol is very expensive. Bring duty free with you. There are two liquor stores within a short walk. One with a fine wine selection.
On Saturdays and Mondays the resort has a free microbus to the grocery store.
Georgetown is about 2.5 miles away. The microbusses are frequent, $2.50 US each, exact change. There is a car rental across the street from the resort. There isn't a lot of night life near by. We brought CD's, DVD's and books. We went to the Monday night dinner and met many other guests. BYOB, the rum punch is boring. The food was average.
We had a great R & R time and would go back again. r

Room Tip: Depends on age, toward the rear.
