“North Sound Golf Club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

The only 18 hole course on Cayman the North Sound Club has a superb design, with very good greens! Their fairways suffer from being a foot above sea level in many places, but overall this is a very sound golf course, with great potential. Both courses (Brittania and North Sound) just need some TLC and a little cash, but in the meantime, worth playing a vacation round on. Grand Cayman is a great destination, just not a golf destination (could be though).

“"Best" Golf in Cayman and getting Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

"Best Golf" is a relative term on Grand Cayman as there are only 3 courses, The private Ritz and public Britannia 9 hole courses are options. This 18 hole course is fun and greens are in great condition, the fairways not so much - mainly because carts are allowed all over the course... 90 degree rule and cart/ropes needed!! But the course is pretty and has enough water, doglegs, and directional winds to make for a fun outing. The prices are high but that is to be expected on an island where real estate is at a premium. Many iguanas roaming make for good photo ops. One true ocean hole but many lakes. The patio bar is nice has been renovated. The driving range is into water (floater balls) and the practice areas are nice. New ownership has made this a better place but need to drop the rates a little to get more weekend golfers on the course, get newer carts and a cart girl on the course to sell beer and snacks.

“AWESOME greens - challenging but fair”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Love this offering in Grand Cayman - greens rival any greens in the world - tee boxes need a little TLC fairways are well kept. Carts need attention as it rained a bit and our back cover was ripped so our bags, clubs and our backs got soaked. Love playing here. Cannot wait to play here again :) Oh left my Sky Caddie on the cart and called next day - they had it - this is a great comment on the service levels at the course. Thanks.

“Terrible Course”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

To put this golf course into perspective for you, imagine a $20 golf course anywhere in the United States and you have the North Sound Club. The club house is a dump, and the greens are almost completely brown. If you want to eat anything, you have to wait 2 hours for a sandwich delivery as the club orders it from a restaurant off the grounds. And to have to pay $159 for 18 holes here, as well as $50 dollars to rent old nike clubs, is a complete ripoff.

“Waste of money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

The course was in poor condition, with large brown spots in grass. Wind was high, too. The course is exceptionally expensive. For two, with club rentals, for 18 holes the cost was $465 USD. For that you get year-old Nike clubs (in nice shape), a worn out golf cart without any GPS technology, a handful of tees and access to a course for which, were it a muni, the greenskeeper would be looking for work. There was no beverage cart out, but a small cooler with ice was provided. To be fair, we enjoyed seeing all the iguanas on the course, and there were only a handful of other golfers seen all day. There is only one hole on the ocean, so that is not even a selling point. We finished our round and wanted to enjoy a Bloody Mary at a nice little outdoor patio bar there, but they didn't have tomato juice. Not a lot going for it, in all honesty.
