“Captain Marvin chartered boat - Absolute highlight of our trip to Cayman!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2011

we charted a 5 hour boat trip through Captain Marvin at the suggestion of one of the workers at the Ritz Carlton and that ended up being a GREAT decision. Captain Roy and his Assistant Keith aboard the boat were UNBELIEVABLE. They never rushed us...made unexpected stops along the way to show us interesting things or things they thought we would enjoy. They basically customized our boat trip. We stopped at 3 snorkeling stops, had lunch at a very quaint and relaxing beach. The boat trip included lunch (grilled mahi mahi, bbq chicken, yummy salad, bread, etc) They even stopped before lunch to dive for live conches and then made fresh conch ceviche for us!! We also went to Stingray City where Keith made sure everyone had a picture with these fun loving and gentle creatures. Then...we went to "The Wall" where the water was 6000 feet deep. These guys (Captain Roy and Keith) are the quintessential professionals. We cannot say enough good things...highly recommend them...HIGHLY. The price was VERY reasonable considering everything that we got to experience.

“Well manned, great snorkel and sting ray sites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2011

Capt Marvin's will pick you up and tranport you to their office on Seven Mile Beach. The snorkel/sting ray experience is $40 USD. If you pay in USD, make sure to bring exact cash or you'll end up with change in CI (Caymanian dollars). This is true in just about all places. If you want the DVD, be prepared for another $40 USD. There is a jug of water on board but you might want to bring your own snacks and drinks.. The snorkel sites and sting ray city are always filled with creatures (the boat crew sends out lots of food) so you will swim through schools of fish and handle the gentle rays. Well worth the money for 3 hours of enjoyment.

Capt marvin's staff were amazing. Their attention to their customers was fantastic! I have worked in customer service for almost 10 years, and their attention to detail and making sure everyone had an amazing experience was superb. A standing ovation to the crew, and meetin capt Marvin himself at the dock! Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will always reccomend you when we visit Grand Cayman again!

“Captain Marvins Stingray City & Snorkel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2011

What a great outfit! Professional, Fun and just a great time for the whole family! Got us back to port with time for shopping!! On the boat ride out they have free bottles of water or fruit punch. Stingray City was just awesome, they let you kiss a ray and such as they hold one of these massive creatures for you. The rest are all around you. They even give you squid to feed to the rays which was great. They would some right up to you and brush up against you. The snorkeling part they took us to the Coral Gardens. PLENTY of colorful fish, coral and sea life to see and there were rays there was well. A+ to Captain Marvins! Why pay the cruise ship twice as much when you can get so much more from a great outfit!

“Excellent tour - highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2011

Javier was our tour guide and did a great job! This was a busy port day and the seas were choppy so we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get out to the sandbar.
I booked several months in advance and foudn their shop near the cruise ship pier. The shop was small, and the line was long, but otherwise, it was well organized and we were soon on the bus towards the harbor. They informed us before we paid that the sandbar was currently closed due to choppy seas, but that they were optimistic it would open by the time we arrived. We eventually made it to the sandbar after a couple 30 minute snorkel stops along the way. Unfortuantely, we were not able to go to the reaf because of the waves. At the sandbar, the marina police were only allowing 2 boats at a time, so it took a while for our turn at the sandbar.
We eventually made it and the biggest difference I noticed was the size of the groups. Our boat with Captain Marvins had a total of 23 people (18 was our party) while other boats appeared to have 40-60 people. Everyone on our boat had their turn to hold the stingrays and take pictures, and we were also able to feed them squid. Watch your thumbs!
A great tour and one of the highlights of our trip. Much cheaper to book directly with them.
