My husband and I were here on December 3rd for a late breakfast/lunch. We cannot, for the life of us, understand the rave reviews. We really enjoy vegan food and this was so below average, much less great, it makes us wonder if we simply hit a bad day - a REALLY bad day. We were the only ones there when we arrived so we can't blame it on a big crowd, not that the place could ever accommodate a large crowd anyway. Bottom line, the breakfast sandwich was cold and on bread that seemed days old (I didn't bother to waste calories on it). The potatoes on the side were also cold and there's no excuse for it. The jerk tofu salad was surprisingly bland and not filling at all. The signature dish, french toast and a take on Nutella was equally awful. Cold, bad bread and with lump of brown goo and not worth the calories. The second anyone else came through the door the service became "meh" at best. All this greatness was only about $50 US. Left hungry and annoyed. Proceed with caution.

We are gutted to hear you had such a disappointing experience at our restaurant, but the frustrating thing is that you gave us no chance to address your concerns.

Your server checked on you both during your meal, and was told all was fine. After you had left, when she noticed your husband hadn't finished his second dish, she asked him specifically if there had been a problem with his food and was again told that everything was fine, he was just full, that he had ordered too much.
Please understand that we cannot read minds, so if you are unhappy with your meal, you need to let it be known. We would have been happy to remake, reheat, change out, discount or remove from your bill anything you found 'terribly overrated'.
We're a fairly new restaurant, so we're trying to learn from our customers' input, and make adjustments as we go. For the most part, people have been thrilled with what we serve, and while we love our food, we understand that not everyone will agree with our tastes.
We know we're not perfect, and that we make mistakes, but we do aim to make sure each of our guests has a happy visit. I think most restaurant owners and staff would feel the same.
