“Only way to truely enjoy a day on the water!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Alice and Pat provided us with a fantastic excursion. I scheduled with Alice through a few e-mails where she helped me with link up instructions. Found them easily at the marina and were headed out to sea within minutes. They are both very personable and friendly and provided us with a wonderful sail and snorkel experience. We were totally alone at our snorkle sites, just us hanging out with the Sting Rays and the reef full of fish. On the trip back in we could see the numerous boats at the ship tour site. We did that two years ago and felt rushed and confined by all the people, plus the guides were not very enthusiastic about their jobs. Pat and Alice seemed to enjoy being out there with us, which made the trip great. We highly recommed sailing with them and we will again if we make it back their way.

“a wonderful sailboat trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

This was by far the best way to see the beautiful water colours and sea-life of Cayman, up close and exclusively ours! Pat and Alice are wonderful hosts and obviously experienced sailors- the whole trip felt very safe and well organised, leaving us to enjoy the fun and spontaneity of sailing across the North Sound and snorkelling in some special places, (away from the more crowded boats) where we saw amazing tropical fish, coral and the famous sting rays! What a day! And to top if off, Alice made us complimentary drinks on the sail home! A definite 'must do' trip!

“Great hosts - phenomenal time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We took a last minute private charter with this group and as fun and exciting the activities were (swimming with the stingrays and snorkeling a live reef), the hosts/crew Patrick and Alice made the trip a complete delight. I would HIGHLY recommend sailing with them and, if and when we return to Grand Cayman, we will definitely charter with them again.

“First Rate in Every Respect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Our half day of sailing with Patrick and Alice was, hands down, the highlight of our seven-day cruise. Beyond that, having been on several cruises in the past few years, I would easily rank these wonderful people and their business #1 of all the experiences we've had, both above and below the water.

I really can't recommend these two and their excursion enough. Everyone in my party - two 55+ year olds and three 20-somethings - had an absolute blast. Patrick was amazing in the water, helping the three of us who swam find and feed beautiful stingrays in an area practically devoid of other tourists, despite the fact that there were 5 cruise ships in port that day. My parents, who don't swim, were more than content to lounge in the sun on the sailboat with Alice (who was just recovering from a leg injury, hope she's feeling better now!) and chat. Patrick even coaxed several stingrays up to the surface so that they could see and snap pictures from the boat.

For the second portion of our sail, we were able to experience a remarkably pristine area of reef. From the beautiful varieties of coral - stag horn and elk horn in particular, which Patrick explained act as environmental bellwethers and can't survive in polluted water - to the countless colorful types of sea life, our time in the water flew by all too fast. Highlights included a massive school of bright blue fish that swam right between us and a color-changing peacock flounder. The entire time, there was not another boat to be seen in all directions. On our sail back to port, we were even lucky enough to spot a couple of turtles on the surface just yards from the boat.

Again, Patrick and Alice of Sail With Friends Cayman would earn more than five stars here if it were possible to do so. They are knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and made our entire group feel beyond welcome. The experiences we had with them will live on in our minds (and camera rolls) for years to come, and we hope to sail with them again on future trips to Grand Cayman - worth every single penny and then some!!! One recommendation to others: be SURE to bring a waterproof camera.
