“Art Gallery- Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands- Great place, very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2014

This gallery is very nice and has a very wide number of art pieces all around. Everything is very unique. the customer service is very excellent. It is located in an island paradise. The outside contains a beautiful scenery and wonderful sculptures that are part of the art. My experience was great. This is definitely a stop worthy to make in Cayman. it is a small, stop, inexpensive, and oes not take a lot of time to complete. I will always remember my summer vacation to this island, and this nice place.

“Promoting the Arts within the Cayman Islands and beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

I visit Grand Cayman quite often and have stopped at the Gallery many times. I particularly like the emphasis they place in supporting existing and up coming Cayman artists and their community out reach to children. I live in Sheboygan Wi where we have the John Michael Kohler Art Center. There they have a great instructional programming for children enabling them not only to participate in doing art work but creat a life long appreciation of it. I see this going on at the Cayman National Gallery and commend it.

“Beautiful Building”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

This beautiful building feels as if it is just finding its feet. The special exhibitions are the draw - the Cayman permanent collection is quite small.

They promise a coffee shop soon.

You need a car, its a fair old walk from the bus stop and its HOT here.

EStoneK, Manager at National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, responded to this review, June 6, 2014
Thank you for your review and for visiting the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. We were really pleased to hear that you enjoyed our new facility and especially the temporary exhibition area. Given space limitations for the permanent collection we also rotate this gallery on a quarterly basis, so be sure to visit us on your next trip to see more of the National Collection.

We are currently working to get public transportation to stop directly at the Gallery (we agree it’s hot here!). In the meantime it is a short taxi ride from most Seven Mile Beach hotels and we are happy to help coordinate transportation.

Hope to see you again soon!

“For a small island, the variety of local art was good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014

It POURED outside, and NOONE except us were there. The British assistant was pleasant and informative about the art. They had Jamaican art and local Caymanian art when we visited.
Lots of fun caribbean colors of course. Free and you can go thru in about 45 min. Something to fill your art brain with on a rainy afternoon.

“Jamaican Art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

The new exhibit will not be there for long, so go when you can. You will see many different artist that will give you a wonderful feeling for their creations. Do not miss going upstairs for more Cayman art.
