My family and I stayed at Eldemire's over spring break (Mar/Apr '07) and we had a great time. The room was clean and plenty big enough, including a full kitchen. The location is excellent, just outside of Georgetown and provided us a nice break from the tourists and hotel row on Seven Mile beach. Above this, Tootie and Bob (Tootie runs the B&B while Bob is the on-site dive instructor) made our stay one of our best ever. Tootie and Bob quickly became friends and advisors, to the point where dropping in for a chat became the norm. Tootie had us over for Easter dinner at her house, where we met her family and they shared stories about the hurricane and we got an insiders view of Grand Cayman. Bob was our dive instructor and did a great job getting us certified. He knew the best sites in relation to the conditions, had all the equipment and really made the experince more than just an open water class. As with Tootie, this was truly one on one instruction as Bob customized the diving for us - he also became a staple at our place where we shared stories and past lives. If you are looking to get away from the glitz, crowds and sterile vacation experience of a resort, I highly recommend Eldemire's. We wanted for nothing, except to stay longer!
