We came into Grand Cayman on the Freedom of the Seas. True to their email, we found Rich waiting and ready under the Moby Dick banner. We left on time, drove on a bus with Peter giving us information about Grand Cayman, and arrived at the boat.
There were three crew members on board and a good description of what to expect with the Rays.
We snorkeled first near a reef for about 15 minutes. Grandma stayed on the boat (there is a canopy and water or orange drink). The water was a little rough but the crew was there to assist with anything we needed.
We moved over a bit to the Stingray area and Rich got out, held a ray, and let people take turns holding it. My husband had been there before, so he went off and did his own ray-chasing. The others either petted, kissed, or fed the rays. Unless you were me and my 10 year old, we were having none of it and sunbathed on the boat!
My niece started to get seasick on the way back to shore. I easily flagged down a crew member who helped me walk her to the back of the boat where she could get fresher air.
Peter was happy to drop tour members off to the destinations of their choice on the way back to the Port. He even got out to make sure we got safely across the street.
We highly recommend Moby Dick for the value and experience. Communication was easy (I had originally booked for 8, then just sent an email adding Grandma with no issue). Check out their tours in Jamaica as well. We did that and it, too, was fantastic.
